We are not pioneers in the world of child abandonment. We are simply carriers of a cause championed by many others. THE PURPOSE: In countries AROUND THE WORLD, babies are abandoned due to poverty and domestic violence, among other reasons. Children with disabilities, however, are the most vulnerable and even the most "DISPOSABLE." Our belief is that every child deserves to LIVE and be LOVED. Since 1998, Pastor Lee Jong-rak of South Korea has saved nearly three dozen infants, all of whom were abandoned BECAUSE OF THEIR DISABILITIES. Recently, Pastor Lee asked a group of filmmakers to document his story,...

The former national Chairman of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) was approved for a 2nd term on Jacksonville’s Human Rights Commission despite overwhelming opposition from the general public and almost a third of the Council members making a motion to delay the vote until March 4th, which may have allowed for Council Member’s to question Parvez Ahmed. The Council meeting and subsequent vote, was reminiscent of the “Three Ring Circus” of 2010, with old guard Councilmen tripping over each other in an effort to avoid the controversial facts surrounding this nomination and making a mockery of our city’s...

Saul Alinksy advises us that "Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating...." So, because Obama is only worthy of mockery, let us use our photoshop skills and create (or collect) pictures of the SEQUESTERPOCALYPGEDDON.... the worst calamity to befall mankind, EVER, because of a 2% budget cut. Why, Maxine Waters advises us that 170 MILLION JOBS will be lost....Freepers, start your photoshop. Here is my submission:

FReeper cgk used to maintain a local, state, regional and miscellaneous lists of those who kept ping lists here. That was almost five years ago. cgk hasn't started a thread in four years or made a comment in two years. I have made a ping list for every state except Rhode Island. It's on my homepage here. In the two months or so of making it I haven't seen anybody hailing from Rhode Island when I clicked on their screen name. I compiled screen names mostly from comments on my threads. It's in alphabetical order except NY. That's for my...

I am not claiming to have thought of this first, someone probably has said it already...but it would be a great idea to put on a bumper sticker, I think. Obama: Nixon's Corruption + Carter's Stupidity or something like that. Is anyone here skilled enough to do a design? I remember years ago when I was a lurker, there was a "Registered" FREEPer and some others who did their own designs...I am not an artist with photoshop or other stuff. Just an idea for any geniuses among us.

Elections have consequences. I won't say what military base I work at,but today my office was briefed about the impending sequestration. There were a few interesting points to come out of the meeting. 1. You have to take at least 8 hours a week LWOP (leave without pay). You cannot use sick or annual leave on those days off. You cannot take more then 30 hours a week because then you'd be able to apply for unemployment and the federal government is ensuring we can't utilize that avenue to supplement our income. So they take us but prevent us from...

“Buy this magazine or the dog gets it!” screamed the National Lampoon magazine cover for January 1973, showing a gun at a dog’s head. Today, President Barack Obama is nakedly threatening to harm the country and the American people if he has to slow spending. Democrats have a gun at the heads of American families. They are threatening to pull the trigger if they have to give up their spending addiction. While these tactics are old, they are not normally done so badly. What’s new is that Obama is being so obvious that everyone is noticing. The Democrats are bungling...

My friend Don just told me he was at a local gun shop and was buying some 9mm ammo. He gave the owner his Chase debit card. The owner told him he couldn't use the card for payment. Don thought it was because the owner assumed it was a credit card. Don told him it was a debit card. The shop owner then told Don it was because Chase Bank will not honor gun or ao purchases with their credit and debit cards Has anyone elserun into this problem? Has anyone else run into this?

The American Dream-This morning on the radio I was listening to Alistair Begg preach about Naaman. He went on and on about how he was wealthy, powerful, highly respected, and lived in a highly desirable location. Then after specifically reiterating only wealth and power he said Naaman lived the American dream before there was an America. This was only an incidental statement in the scope of his sermon, and maybe he would back away from it if pressed upon, but I take strong exception to that idea. Is it just me, or is the idea that the American dream is...

I was watching Fox, they had video of the clown's fear mongering speech in Virginia yesterday.. I just thought how GREAT it would be if some thinking people, instead of protesting by shouting or holding up signs....just laugh. Laugh at their lies. Would it unnerve some of these liars?

In trying to keep up with where we stand on Obamacare and the states, seeking FReeper input on those states that belong on the solidly against expanding Medicaid list. Here's what I've cobbled together. Feel free to weigh in with information of your own. Don't mean to exclude any state that belongs on the list, or to include any state that doesn't belong. (Have to be careful, because a much longer list of states than this said they wouldn't set up a state exchange. I'm seeing that maybe some states waffled bigtime and split the difference...rejected a state exchange but...

I am going to try to say this without too much rambling. Last night driving home, I turned on the radio to listen to Mark Levin. He is in the middle of his rant against McDonnell of Virginia. He then talks about Scott of Florida and lists the Repub governors who have now accepted Obamacare. A few of those governors were Tea Party favorites – McDonnell, Scott, Brewer, Kasich, Martinez. It seemed so depressing. Every time we turn around, this guy in the White House continues to win his goals while our beliefs are constantly undermined. This Lent, I have...

Been looking for the comment where she says, "I shouldn't say this because cameras are here....." I am able to find TONS of videos of her "explaining" her comments, but the original video seems to be gone (scrubbed?) from the internet.

The games the politicians play are a pathetic joke. Debt continues to pile on top of debt with "crisis" deadline after "crisis" deadline upon us. We end up with "imperfect deals" that do nothing to balance the books, just continue the slow and painful descent into eventual financial collapse. These sick austerity policies that include tax increases and spending cuts at the same time are already ruining Europe and now the United States is going down the same road. Obama and the RINO's use emotional issues to drive wedges that scoop us masses of people to support them. The RINO's...

The skein of alleged corruption in NC politics is unraveling. First, there is evidence of illegal online registration by NC Democrats in the presidential election. Now, a 501c(3) nonprofit group, specifically forbidden to engage in partisan politics was inconveniently exposed for doing just that. Based in Raleigh, Blueprint North Carolina is an advocacy and policy group which is, as noted on its website, “strictly non-partisan” (wink, wink). In addition, they claim, “Blueprint activities will not be coordinated with any candidate, political party or other partisan entity.”
