In trying to keep up with where we stand on Obamacare and the states, seeking FReeper input on those states that belong on the solidly against expanding Medicaid list. Here's what I've cobbled together. Feel free to weigh in with information of your own.
Don't mean to exclude any state that belongs on the list, or to include any state that doesn't belong.
(Have to be careful, because a much longer list of states than this said they wouldn't set up a state exchange. I'm seeing that maybe some states waffled bigtime and split the difference...rejected a state exchange but caved on expanding Medicaid. But the feds say they will set up an exchange in your state even if your state refuses, so that seems to leave Medicaid expansion as something the feds can't do on their own.)

Virginia caved over the weekend. Their RINO Governor drank the koolaid and turned into obama jr.

And the WSJ thinks that the finagling McDonnell did with the Democrats, on allowing for a bicameral commission to decide whether Virginia will proceed with ObamaCare’s proffered Medicaid expansion, is going to be a tough one to forgive:
Mr. McDonnell even cut an 11th-hour deal with Democrats over the expansion of Medicaid under ObamaCare. …
[T]o secure Democratic votes on his tax increase, he agreed to let a bicameral commission decide if the state will expand Medicaid. He agreed even though his attorney general, Ken Cuccinelli, issued an opinion that this is an unconstitutional delegation of authority. Mr. McDonnell says the commission means Virginia won’t expand Medicaid as long as Republicans control the legislature, but wait until the hospital lobby gets done working the same Republicans who raised taxes.
Not sure about the list but will comment regarding Tennessee: Noodle-spined (Republican) Gov. Bill Haslam says he’s “undecided”, meaning he’s trying to figure out the best rationale for supporting the increase. Fortunately, the Republicans have solid control of both houses and there are enough conseratives in the legislature to make sure there will be no automatice rubber stamp of Haslam’s decision (if his decision is to expand). I’m not sure the legislature would oppose the governor on this, but I think there would be enough opposed to make it a rough ride for him.
If Haslam decides to expand and the legislature backs him, it will be like the early years of the Geo. W. Bush administration where Republicans had the presidency and both houses of Congress and went on wild spending sprees.
Moral of the story: never vote for a Dhimm, and only vote for a Republican if you are prepared to watch him like a hawk.
So do you think Tennessee should be on the list?
If the absence of action is a fair criteria, seems like they should be, or maybe not. As you say, maybe their governor is just stalling around...
I know McDonnell caved on spending and tax hikes, but when I heard about the commission he wants to delegate the authority to in deciding whether to expand Medicaid under Obamacare, it left Virginia’s status “up in the air”, at least in my mind. That’s why I didn’t put it on the list but asked for others’ perspective.
As far as I know GA is still standing strong again’st medicaid expansion.

The list has gotten shorter and there have been some famous (infamous) defections.
I want to credit the strong and don’t hesitate to excoriate the weak...
The libs are in full-court press in Kansas, with fake numbers and over-the-top emoting, but we have a pretty sensible Governor and a lot of sensible legislators. It looks good here.

I don’t think so. Haslam is so weak-kneed that I think it is a good bet he will come out and support the ObummerCare Medicaid expansion. Then it will be up to the Senate and House. I would like to think it would be stopped there, but there are more Republicans in the legislature than there are conservatives.
I thought I heard on radio that a bill to prohibit expansion was on the way to NC Gov’s desk, or would soon be. He said he would sign it. (Didn’t catch the entire news clip.)

They are protesting Perry in person when he speaks. These are Obama’s people, and are also a re-incarnation of ACORN. States are under enormous pressure. I’m sure KS is no exception.
