WARNING STRONG LANGUAGE: Maria Wright, 23, bought a pair of the new PJs unaware of the unfortunate mistake on the waistband above her backside A mum of three had an embarrassing shock when she noticed her brand new pyjama were emblazoned with a rude word. Maria Wright, 23, bought a pair of leopard print PJs from the budget clothes chain Peacocks. The £11 pants were meant to say ' animal ' - but due to a factory error had the word 'anal' on them in large print, just above her bottom. The trousers offer wearers the chance to "unleash their...

New Jersey governor Chris Christie came out swinging against his rival for the GOP presidential nomination Marco Rubio Tuesday. In a Tuesday interview with radio host Laura Ingraham, Christie responded to Rubios claim that the Obama administration's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program could not be rolled back 'immediately.' The Florida senator told Univision host Jorge Ramos in April the DACA program, which exempts children who entered the country illegally from being deported, should 'end at some point' in the future. 'It cannot be the permanent policy of the United States but I’m not calling for it to be revoked...

While we now appear to be in a period of declining magnetic field strength, we cannot state for certain if or when a magnetic reversal will occur. Based on measurements of the Earth's magnetic field taken since about 1850 some paleomagnetists estimate that the dipole moment will decay in about 1,300 years. [...] Even if Earth's magnetic field is beginning a reversal, it would still take several thousand years to complete a reversal. We expect Earth would still have a magnetic field during a reversal, but it would be weaker than normal with multiple magnetic poles. Radio communication would deteriorate,...

A grisly video has surfaced of the moment a failed ISIS suicide bomber is found torn in half but still alive after his explosives detonated too early. Footage of the incident, posted online, showed him muttering a few words and moving his head - despite missing the lower half of his body. It's believed he was an ISIS suicide bomber whose bomb belt detonated too early in a botched attack on Houthi rebels in Yemen.

Jeb Bushs education empire: the Foundation for Excellence in Education. Singer, who recently threw his support behind Rubio, founded the Paul E. The San Francisco sheriff who over the summer became embroiled in a national debate over 'sanctuary city' policies on Tuesday lost his bid for re-election amid a host of local controversies. Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi, 54, was defeated by Vicki Hennessy, a former sheriff's official who had the endorsement of San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee and the sheriff deputies association. As of early Wednesday morning, Hennessy had received 62 percent of the vote to just 31 percent for Mirkarimi. Mirkarimi was the subject of national criticism after Mexican illegal immigrant Francisco Sanchez allegedly shot and killed 32 year old Kate Steinle...

Einstein had already achieved greatness. In 1905 he developed the theory of special relativity that wove space and time together into the fabric of the Universe and gave us E=mc2. But Einstein was just getting started. He realised gravity needed to be brought into the picture. For several years, he could not see how to do it. “In all my life I have laboured not nearly as hard; compared with this problem, the original relativity is child’s play,” he told a colleague. His eureka moment was to realise gravity worked by warping the fabric of space-time. Towards the end of...

Students at the University of Oxford will hold a demonstration to “demand the glorifying statue of Cecil Rhodes – a brutal, racist colonial oppressor – be taken down” from a historic, grade one listed building. The protest has been organised by the #RhodesMustFallOxford campaign, set up in July, which describes itself as “a movement for the decolonisation of the curriculum, institutional memory and culture, and overall educational space at Oxford.” The students, at one of the best universities in the world, claim to be “oppressed.”

The Free Speech Coalition is preparing to a file a formal response to Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) regulations first introduced in May that mandate new safety standards for ensuring that performers remain safe from sexually transmitted diseases and bloodborne pathogens.

The worst thing you can do to a Telemarketer is talk to them!Or so I thought. Maybe the worst thing you can do to a Telemarketer is let your robo talk to them. After all, they call you with their computers, so it’s only fair to let them talk to your computer. That’s where ‘Hello, This Is Lenny’ comes in. ‘Lenny’ is a set of scripts originally used on an Asterisk-based Voice-Over-IP system. You can transfer the call to the extension using these scripts, or have the dialplan automatically route to Lenny’s extension. Check out some of the You Tube...

High-profile speakers — Christine Lagarde, Condoleezza Rice — have been disinvited from or otherwise pushed out of commencement addresses, thanks to students who didn’t want to hear what they had to say. 11/04/2015 4:12:35 AM PST · by chuckee · 17 replies
HOUSTON—In a victory for social conservatives, voters in the nation’s fourth-largest city on Tuesday overwhelmingly rejected a ballot measure to extend nondiscrimination protections to gay and transgender people. Known as the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance, or HERO, the measure would have banned discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, race and a dozen other categories. It was backed heavily by Houston Mayor Annise Parker and a cadre of national Democratic political figures, and proponents poured more than $3 million into the push to pass it. Supporters conceded defeat on Tuesday evening shortly after the Associated Press called the election in...

My son is 19 and has struck out on his own for the big city. He is not prepared for this; he has no experience with the city, is young for his age, and has not made plans. He figures he will find work and a place to stay and has no idea how hard this will be, or how expensive things are. He has been without direction and he felt as if he had to take a drastic step to achieve independence and his own life. He is staying in touch, checking in with us. He has the Covenant...
