Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

These ignoramuses want America to be just like Europe--socially decadent and anti-family--but without the high taxes.

Their vision of government and society is not only contemptible, it's profoundly stupid and ill-informed.

Perhaps the antifreepers could adopt that as their new motto.

DG evidently doesn't believe that sodomy is against natural law and supports the non-religious theories that suggest biology rules man.
curious and wrong-headed...

Do a search on “Stanley Kurtz” and read what he has to say. (I hope I’m remembering his name right). He has written a number of articles, more than a few posted on FR, explaining clearly the connection between the promotion of homosexuality, in particular homosexual marriage, and the destrucion of actual marriage.

The sex positive agenda has various parts to it - the “gay” rights, the pornography, the sexualization of children, E-Z divorce, the legalizing of so-called swingers’ clubs, the normalization of promiscuity and adultery, and so on. The end result is the separation of sexual activity from monogamous marriage. Which is resulting right now in the breakdown of the social fabric, and it will only get worse unless things are turned around.

Therefore, states cannot sanction the destruction of life without first seceding from the union.

If there was a successful attempt to pass a Federal law banning all abortions (right down to the morning after pill) secession might just be what we get. I trust you did not use that phrase lightly and are prepared for its consequences.

Personally I believe that laws will change when people's hearts change, not the other way round.

I did not get any extra points for that. It seemed a worthwhile point the commentator was making.

It makes me start to think that maybe there is some substance ingestion going on... ;-)

I’m no mental giant, nor have I any education. But I seem to be able to put a couple of thoughts together and see where they lead.

Moral blinders make mental blinders.

Hate to break this to you (maybe), but you’re coming across as a little too pro-homosexual in your posts.

Your attempts to downplay it and the threat it poses to the family and society by comparing it to divorce and heteosexual prmiscuity, and your refering to it as simply *distasteful*, show that you are not really opposed to it at all. They are not in the same league at all and equating them is what’s disingenious.

It’s the light....

I do not deny that invective has been thrown at all sides.

I won’t even lower myself to “Yeah, but they started it” level.

The bottom line is the Rudy supporters that got banned, certainly not all Rudy supporters, attacked conservatism and conservative candidates besides being nasty to other freepers. They chose their fate.

"To somehow try and say that it was only the Rudy supporters/departed FReepers were engaging in the ad hominem/personal attacks is dishonest at best, and delusional at worst."

Sometimes one side really is worse than the other. However, there are/were so many Rudy threads, I couldn't keep up with them nor did I have the time to try. I cannot say which side was worse in this instance, but both sides were definitely guilty of personal attacks. NO doubt about it.

Jim Robinson has a right to reaffirm the purpose of this site, which I heartily agree with, btw. And others have a perfect right to begin another forum where they might be more comfortable, and that site is NOT an antifreeper site as some have been alleging.

Rex the Runt does sound a lot like some of the gay-agenda trolls who have infested FR from time to time. I wonder if he’s a retread?

Well, well, well. I've being saying for some time that the pro-aborts, and those who cover for them by pushing off the unalienable right to life as a "states' rights issue" are the equivilant of modern-day confederates.

Personally, I think people who think it's okay to dismember and destroy a helpless little child should just do us all a favor and secede from the human race.

While I support much of the Bush Administration’s stance, in particular the Bush Doctrine (support the troops and their mission in Iraq!) — I am opposed to President Bush’s illegal immigration and big spending and education policies. I begrudge him not vetoing CFR. I wish he would use the Bully Pulpit far more effectively for pro-Life and Liberty.

But President Bush was not known for these characteristics before becoming the President, we learned these things after the fact.

Rudy isn’t even the GOP CANDIDATE yet.

It’s entirely one issue to consider voting for Rudy in the Catch-22 horror of IF a year-and-a-half from now he’s the GOP candidate.

But supporting Rudy NOW is acting as knowing accessory before the fact, so to speak, in furthering his Liberal agenda.

I can NOT believe what this forum has become. It is beneath contempt. It’s nearly as bad as the posts at DU.

After reading some of your posting history, I see why.

Bye.
