I really wanted Opus Delecti to mean delicious opus, but it doesn't. In almost 16 years, this is my first vanity. And all I can muster is to post it in bloggers and personal, where it ostensibly belongs. Vanities were against the rules, and as a date once told me, I'm a rule follower. Nobody will miss me when I'm gone. In fact, I know many folks will rejoice. There are many folks I will miss, once zotted. I'll miss the kitty pings, most of all. I'll miss the quiet solitude of Lurker and the crazy shenanigans of Laz. I...

I am done. This site has broken me. I am as staunch a conservative as you will find. After returning from Iraq, injured and upset, I turned here and found a welcoming community that shared my thoughts. I am a proud Gadsden Flag waiving man of the Tea Party movement. But because I don't think Sarah Palin is as historically important as other GOP women in the past, I am now considered an idiot, a RINO, ass-kisser and whatever negative connotation you can throw my way. This site has changed so much since that dictator want to be became President...

More than 50 high profile conservatives signed onto a statement Wednesday responding to both House Speaker John Boehner’s harsh words for conservative groups earlier in the day and to the firing of the Republican Study Committee’s long-time executive director Paul Teller. “It is clear that the conservative movement has come under attack on Capitol Hill today,” the statement reads.
