BRUNSWICK, Ga. A quick acting police officer in Brunswick stopped a teenager with a loaded gun from entering a high school basketball game Tuesday night.
Police arrested 19-year-old Ahmaud Marquez Avery (pictured below), who is not a student at Brunswick.
"The man ran through the parking lot. I tried to get him to stop as well. He would not stop for us," said Glynn County Schools Chief of Police, Rod Ellis. "We ended up chasing him to the back of the school were other officers helped us apprehend him."
Ellis said the .380 caliber semi-automatic handgun slipped out of the teen's pants.

There were no burglaries that WERE REPORTED. Does that mean there were no burglaries?
He doesn't claim he didn't shoot him.
Like the media did? Of course,of course.;)
Few facts are “known” yet, but still you want to kill the guy. Please stay where you are in CA and do not spread your disease.
By the way, if the victim had completely complied with the shooters orders, I doubt he would have lived until the police came. This guy was going to kill him either way.
Who shot the camera footage?
Seek help. Seriously.
Well of course it slipped out of his pants; these guys wear their pants so low that it’s a wonder that their underwear even stays on.
I wouldn’t be surprised if a guy found himself buck naked from the waist down one of these days. It’s a ridiculous style. And I don’t understand, not at all.
Not one bit. Sorry, dudes...
I don’t consider justice systems without the death penalty as legitimate.
They’re cowards IMO.
If you were walking down the street and someone came up to you brandishing a gun, would you just lay down and hope they don't kill you before the police come?
Is that a difficult to answer?
Wow, bald-faced lie. I ever said I wanted to kill anyone, I said, if there was justice he'd get a lethal injection. I believe in the U.S. and state legal systems, as bad as it is sometimes.
Sorry American patriots offend you.
Could be,
Not much in the record in the guys’ favor.
But more will come out if there’s a trial.
I blame the “justice system” at heart though. Don’t leave so much to the discretion of individuals.
That’s funny because of someone draws down on me I’m gonna take control
I open carry. So anyone pointing their gun at me nowing full well I have a gun would be suicidal. Which is why that would never happen. AN ARMED SOCIETY IS A POLITE SOCIETY.
But in this instance, it appears as though the guns were NOT pointed at the perp. Otherwise, how would he have been able to attack and get at least part of the gun in his control?
I always carry a hammer when jogging. Dont you?
What was left at the discretion of individuals?
Then why did you imply that this guy deserved to die for carrying a weapon six years ago?
Is your name "Maxwell"?
Nick Carraway always carries a hammer when jogging.
Oh yes, I forgot to ask, what about the mask?! Forget about the gun, that’s not important. What’s truly dangerous here is whether or not this law-abiding, obviously, young man was wearing a mask to protect himself and everyone around him.
I’m certain that he was since he was such a sweet young man who was good to everybody, as we know.
Just like Trayvon Martin, he was a big puffball, a big, funny and
friendly guy.
Do I really need the sarcasm tag??!!! LOL!!!
