BRUNSWICK, Ga. A quick acting police officer in Brunswick stopped a teenager with a loaded gun from entering a high school basketball game Tuesday night.
Police arrested 19-year-old Ahmaud Marquez Avery (pictured below), who is not a student at Brunswick.
"The man ran through the parking lot. I tried to get him to stop as well. He would not stop for us," said Glynn County Schools Chief of Police, Rod Ellis. "We ended up chasing him to the back of the school were other officers helped us apprehend him."
Ellis said the .380 caliber semi-automatic handgun slipped out of the teen's pants.

Amen!
You are really okay with that? Because if you are you are an extraordinary wimp who deserves to live in a communist/fascist state. You won't have to worry about the right to self defense you hate so much.
Exactly
The fact you are an anti-2nd Amendment, anti-right to self right to self defense activist speaks to your character, comrade.
Once you present your weapon in an offensive manner against another person, that person has every right to defend himself against you, including taking control of your weapon and shooting you with it.
Its called “self defense”
The jogger had every right to defend himself against a vigilante crew of idiots who wanted to “citizens arrest” him for trespassing through a construction site, that none of them witnessed or even owned.
Those knuckleheads should have just called the and let them handle it, instead of trying to out dumb the keystone cops.
Just like every election cycle it seems.
I can tell you what I wouldn’t do: attack them.
Did he even bother to talk and see what was up? Because to me, it looked like he attacked before anything started.
And option 2 would be to run away. That way if they shoot you in the back there is no doubt about what happened.
It appears he picked the worst choice he could have made.
I don't know all of the details either, but I will say this: Your post made me literally LOL! Well said.
What the hell are you talking about? I carry every day, both open carry and concealed. Another person without a clue from CA. What a shocker!/s
Was the shotgun pointed at him? Couldn’t have been, otherwise how was he able to attack and get his hands on it.
And the guy in the back of the truck had his gun holstered and was seen in the video pulling it out only AFTER the perp attacked.
There goes your “present your weapon in an offensive manner” argument.
Right on the money
What “murder”??? The dude was shot but there is not enough evidence to call it murder. Frankly, it looks to me like Arbery attacked the son. But, I guess because they were white and he was black is enough for some people.
Brandishing has no definition in GA code.
Boy,that makes sense to me now.He is from new jersey and it speaks volumes.
If there's any justice in Georgia, this guy will be getting an injection soon.
(This doesn't actually apply, but in Georgia law, if someone doesn't enter your property illegally, you don't have the right to follow them of your property and chase them until you kill them.)
Lol

Insert “nobody was wearing a mask” joke here.... ;-)
You are calling me an idiot because I am presenting evidence contrary to what the media is telling you about this case? What exactly do you take issue with? Because everything I have posted has been factual.
