Unless they found stolen goods on him or proof of a crime, its murder. You cannot whip out a gun aim it at someone and not expect confrontation. Weither he was 40 miles away or scoping out the neighborhood, all I see is someone out for a jog. His past crimes do not justify being shot.

It actually applies to him as well if that’s the case. I stopped reading the thread at his post. If he is insulting people then it applies to him/her as well.

I am serious when I say there was a time you and I could disagree strongly on something but still remain cordial. Obviously we’d both need to have conservative views, but it never had to be zero:sum in any way. And if we couldn’t keep it cordial then the Viking kitties were always rumbling thunder somewhere over the horizon. Nowadays if I disagree with you (on some useless issue most times) I call you idiot or you call me fool. Not OK because you, me and everyone else are conservatives and should thus be honorable.

“They’re just nuts (as far as we know now).”

Nuts they cannot get bonded out of prison.

Nuts that they have no idea what evidence William Bryan will give to the state.

Nuts that there will soon be 3 defendants, and no guarantee that each will stick to the exact same story.

Nuts that they will likely be in a Cage awaiting a trial and lawyers that are going to cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars.

And nuts about being bunking with Tyrone for the next 20 years.

It’s not worth arguing with these idiots who have no idea how the law actually works. It’s better to simply shake your head at them and wait for these two murderers to be convicted by a jury of their peers and hopefully be put to death.

Apparently their side of the story is that they were trying to make a citizen’s arrest when he attacked.

Excellent summary. Many here should read that and educate themselves.

What lottery did he win. And what did he do that you think he deserved to die for?

If they shot him because he was trying to take their gun, and bashing the old man on the head, it’s not exactly “cold blooded murder.”

Aw, c’mon.
Vigilantes have a reason to connect their suspect to a crime.
These guys didn’t.

#39. If Maxine Waters and the late Rep. Elijah Cummings had a son, or something. That would explain the low IQ and social psychopathy.

I am insane for what? Posting things which collide with your world view? You sound like someone who wants conformity, and would probably fit in well in communist China. And since California is more like China than the US, you have truly found your home in the land of fruits and nuts.

Does the holder of the shotgun have a license to hold another individual at gun point for a crime they have not witnessed and are not uniformed arresting police officers?

And by license, I mean legal authority under the law of Georgia.

It is not self defense if you are on offense

That is the legal problem here.

If the gun was concealed and this guy was beating on the man with the concealed weapon, I could legally understand the defensive use of the weapon, it would then be like Trayvon Martin. This is not a Trayvon Martin case, or even like it in any sense.

Because the shot gun was used in an offensive use as a way to “detain” or Citizen’s arrest a man by taking away his legal rights with out even witnessing a crime.

“Hoe the law actually works”.

At heart the law “works” because it is better than the alternatives.

People keep calling him a jogger. I don’t know many people who go jogging in cargo shorts and unlaced Timberland boots. And apparently he had a hammer in his hand, which he dropped in the road and the guy who was recording caught on video. I mean... that’s odd.

You think if someone merely carried a gun, they deserve to be executed six years later?

Crimes a person commits become chapters of their lives. You may not want to admit that, but it is true nonetheless.

I have no idea WTF happened in this incident. No matter what, dude should not have been killed BUT if someone tries to take a gun from me,he gets shot. This is why I don’t run down streets with a shotgun running after “JOGGERS” LMAO! Videos are so asinine and usually prove nothing but what the editors want it to show. The pics of the recent incident have Avery looking clean cut and all American and the two white dudes look like what liberals typically think and see of two white guys: father and son from that “racist redneck state” Georgia. Journalists are sick as f*ck. Bottom line is that the left just got another GIFT of something to roll around in all summer into the election of pure racism dog sh*t.

If the courts refuse to deal with someone who is dangerous what recourse does society have?

Yeah, much rather the justice system handle this- but if they won’t who does?

That’s what it has come to with an overpopulating underclass who are breeding more and more criminals who commit crime or property theft. Not all are going to be predatory, but the system is overwhelmed.

After a burglary is committed in a neighborhood, the police can only file a report if you even bother to file one. Several times in the past I haven’t because it’s not like I’m going to get anything back. If they do catch a thief, he’ll have most charges dropped and be back on the streets within weeks or months to commit the same offenses over and over again.

It’s going to get worse not better as frustration mounts.

In the Trayvon Martin case, I wonder if they ever traced the stolen items in a plastic bag, which included a woman’s wedding ring) back to the original owner when it was found in his school bag with large flathead screw driver, when he was suspended for weed.
