Massive Audience for Fox Debate Proves There Is an Overwhelming Thirst for Change in This Country
EIB ^ | August 7, 2016 | Rush Limbaugh

I asked the staff on the other side of the glass exactly one hour ago to take a wild guess at who had the most camera time last night, who said the most, who had the most speaking time last night. I will admit it was a trick question. I did not say, "Which of the candidates...?" So the answers were the candidates, but that was not true. The Fox the moderators dominated the debate last night.

The candidate with the most airtime was Donald Trump. "Time analysis compiled by a university political researcher finds frontrunner Donald Trump dominated last night’s Republican presidential debate, that is, if you don’t count the moderators. Fox News debate moderators allowed Trump speak the most of all the candidates, clocking in at 10 minutes, 32 seconds of air time."

So you had... Stop and think about this, now. You have a two-hour debate. They took some time for commercial breaks. Let's say... It's an hour and 40 minute actual program time, and I'm guessing at that. The most time any of these guys had was 10 minutes 32 seconds, and he was not the most seen or most heard. The Fox moderators had more time... In other words, the moderators had more time to ask their questions than the rules permitted the candidates to answer.

"Former Gov. Jeb Bush -- stationed in the #2 podium due to his polling -- came in a relative distant second, with 8 minutes 31 seconds. The third-highest polling candidate -- Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker -- came in 9th place, being heard just over half of Trump's time. All told, the 10 candidates at the 9pm debate spoke 'a total of one hour, eight minutes, and 49 seconds …' According to Smart Politics, 'an equal distribution of speaking time would have been six minutes and 52 seconds per candidate.'".....

By the Numbers: Gov. Scott Walker talked about Hillary and Obama twice as many times as the next candidate.

"Who Talked About Clinton And Obama At The Debate Here's how often the ten candidates in the first primetime GOP presidential debate mentioned Hillary Clinton or President Obama...."

Walker ----13
Bush ------ 7
Paul ------- 7
Cruz ------ 6
Huckabee - 4
Trump ---- 3
Carson --- 2
Rubio ---- 2
Christie -- 0
Kasich --- 0

Those dirty cretins at Fox tried to torpedo Trump by asking him questions as they did the same to Cruz by NOT asking him questions. I’m done with Fox.

It must be accurate if Rush quoted it, but it sure didn’t seem like that at the time. Looking at this, Fox didn’t let standing in the polls dictate how much air time a candidate got. Walker got a negligible amount of time. He should have been one of the ones with more, not the least.
Fox totally screwed this up.

Even as the tsunami of public opinion ...ie....angry, irate citizens flooding the media and airwaves with their disdain of Fox.....

....Fox refuses to admit its epic fail.....and instead are doubling down.

They think the 24 million tuned in to watch them.....!

Trump brought those numbers in!!!!...Trump brought the excitement, the anticipation!

And they ambushed him.

Watch Fox numbers implode, explode in the very near future!!!

I still say "What debate?" That was overwhelmingly just a "Q&A" session.
The only "debate" I saw came via outbursts.

The big looser in this Debate?

The American people and the E-GOP.

We got 2 hours of gotchaism when we needed a substantive debate and the issues and potential future direction of the country as we look at a host of POTUS candidates.

The E-GOP looked even more b@ll-less than Boehner and McConnell here is why:

* It was trying squeeze Trump out of this via the tools @ Fox, and they ended up looking small.
* For years us the base have been on a screed to do two things.
* One, close off our Primaries to "R's" only.
* Second, have a real debate.

For one a moderator. someone who ask no questions. Heck bring back an old time stop watch, some collector must have William F Buckley's hardware on the set from "Firing Line".

But more importantly, where were the men and women of intellectual firepower to ask real questions? Why wasn't Dr. Thomas Sowell, Dr Walter Williams, Phillis Schlafly, Michelle Malkin, Dennis Prager, Hugh Hewitt and Mark Levin up their to ask REAL QUESTIONS!

The E-GOP sucks on ice, it is a no wonder Rince Prebius and earned his new nickname which I will not repeat. If they can't even run a freakin' debate, how do we expect them to run a country?

Raise your hand if you attended Clinton Foundation activities,or if you received a call from Bill Clinton before you announced.

It’s early and that “debate” garnered even more interest. A whole lotta shakin’ still in the wings as it’s early. First time since Reagan I’m excited about an election cycle. They will continue to help Trump by trying to destroy him and to marginalize Cruz and Walker via low times and bland questions because they are afraid of the effects of “gotcha” questions backfiring...

Breitbart: Scott Walker: We Should Be Talking About Hillary Clinton’s Worldwide Record of Failure "CLEVELAND, Ohio: GOP presidential candidate Gov. Scott Walker stepped in to keep the peace when Fox News anchor Bret Baier was going back and forth with GOP frontrunner Donald Trump on the topic of his donations to Democrats and the Clinton Foundation.

Baier asked Trump what he received from Hillary Clinton and Rep. Nancy Pelosi in exchange for the money he donated.

Trump responded, “For Hillary Clinton, I said be at me wedding and she came to my wedding.”

Trump went on to explain that Clinton had no choice, because he gave to her foundation, which was supposed to be for charity.

“I didn’t know her money would be used on private jets going all over the world. It was.”

“Mr. Trump, we’re going to move on. Coming back to you Governor Walker,” Baier directed.

Walker responded, “One second on this. We spend a lot of time talking about Hillary Clinton, pinging us back and forth. Let’s be clear, we should be talking about Hillary Clinton on that last subject, because everywhere in the world that Hillary Clinton touched is more messed up today than before her and the President took office.”

Trump echoed Walker’s statement, “It’s true.”

Rush said none of the candidates took on Trump [that the debate was a Fox-GOP-e ordered hit] but he is mistaken:

YouTube: Donald Trump vs Rand Paul GOP Debate- Trump REFUSES To Rule Out Third Party Run

Breitbart: Rand: Trump ‘Already Hedging His Bets "....Rand then interjected, “this is what’s wrong. He buys and sells politicians of all stripes.” And “He’s already hedging his bet on the Clintons, okay? So, if he doesn’t run as an Republican, maybe he supports Clinton, or maybe he runs as an Independent. But I’d say that he’s already hedging his bets, because he’s used to buying politicians.” Trump responded, “I’ve given you plenty of money.”..

Free Beacon: [Rubio] "seized an opportunity to distinguish himself from Donald Trump: not by engaging the populist billionaire directly, but by pointing out that Trump donated to his primary opponent, then-establishment-Republican Charlie Crist, in 2010."

[It appears that Trump's political party maneuvering is Charlie Christ like.]

Actually, Kelly had the most speaking time which was obvious from her long-winded introductions to her questions and her giggling, scowling and fake outrage.
