Humans may have domesticated dogs two separate times, taming wolves both in Europe and Asia thousands of years ago, according to new research.

A major international research project may have cleared some of the controversy surrounding the origins of man's best friend, which has until now remained a mystery with two primary hypotheses.

The first holds that humans domesticated dogs for the first time in Europe more than 15,000 years ago.

Hey, I have to domesticate each pup who comes into the house thinking that the inside is the outside. Luckily it only takes a month or so....

A while back, a study was published that showed dogs evolved separately from wolves, with an ancient common ancestor.

It is my belief that dogs have always been dogs and wolves have always been wolves.

Pretty sure God could create two things similar but not the same, if He wanted to.

Or, as one person put it simply:

“Take 2 wolves and breed them. What do you get, another wolf. Train that wolf to hunt, guard you or play games with you. What now, still a wolf.”

They skipped actual domestication and went straight to various forms of mind-control, like toxoplasma gondii.
