I almost drove off the road this morning when I heard this. Massachusetts Attorney General Bill Galvin, a surly hack who makes Joe Biden look like a wise statesman, has been slapped by a federal court for trying to disenfranchise members of the military. Seems Galvin has willfully disobeyed a federal courts' instruction to count the number of military absentee ballots returned to Massachusetts from overseas, especially US sailors and Marines. WRKO-AM (680) host Reese Hopkins, two of Tom Finneran’s producers, the head of promotions, the head of national sales and a producer for Greg Hill on WAFF-FM (107.3) were axed today, as I report online. WRKO just sent out this press release that says Hopkins will be replace by the syndicated Laura Ingraham show, which used to air on competitor WTKK-FM (96.9). There’s no mention of the other cuts. Howie Carr thread. btw on Thu., some of Howie's stations like WRKO will have to cut out at 5:30 pm since Thu. night Sox game has been moved up to 6 pm (pre-game show at 5:30...WCRN doesn't carry pre-game though). The Sox (happy 500th HR, Manny!) are moving their game up an hour so it'll be over before Celtics game starts at 9.

Howie made his grand return to radio on Nov. 18. In this weekly thread we follow his show plus I'll post interesting columns by him, etc. There are usually daily pings Mon.-Fri. and Sun with his column.

Howie made his grand return to the airwaves on Friday. From now on, the live ping will be done week to week. Those on the ping list will be pinged for (most) columns, as well as Monday through Friday for his shows, though perhaps not on holidays and/or times when he'll be off (this week for example, he won't be on Thanksgiving or the following day)
