After watching American Idol for numerous seasons, I have come to the conclusion that a GREAT DEAL of these contestants have GOT TO BE DUmmies!!Anyone who watches the show would have to agree that some of these people are SOOOOO CLUELESS to their singing ability... It's TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLE!! This must be the type of universe a lot of the DUmmies live in... An ALTERNATE UNIVERSE!! I mean, how can some of those people on the show, that have seriously gone there to audition... Think that they can ACTUALLY sing???!!This has GOT TO BE the way some of the idiots think...

LOS ANGELES — It may have "Crashed" at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, but "Brokeback Mountain" is back in the saddle as the lead contender for Tuesday morning's Academy Award nominations. "Brokeback Mountain," the story of two cowboys in love, has dominated earlier Hollywood honors, earning best dramatic film and three other prizes at the Golden Globes and winning top awards from key critics groups. However, at Sunday night's Screen Actors Guild Awards, the ensemble drama "Crash" pulled off an upset win over "Brokeback" for the overall cast award. But experts believe the film is still positioned to become the...

Stern weighed in yesterday with the confession that he had a nose job nine years ago — right after the filming of his movie, "Private Parts" — and liposuction not long after to suck out the waddle of fat under his chin. He explained that, while he'd always hated his nose, doctor after doctor told him not to touch it. Finally, he said, one sketched out a simple fix that would pare away his speed bump, so he decided to have the surgery.

Wasn't this the old saying for armed forces advertising? While watching "24", I thought about this, and realised that Jack Bauer gets more done in an hour, than most can get done in an entire day.The man is amazing. Great show so far.

Hidden deep in the rainforests of Central America, stand the ruins of an ancient civilization that once prospered, and then vanished. These were the Maya people, and this is the country of Guatemala. These stunning cities of the past stand as clues to a mystery thousands of years old. While Europe was in the dark ages, it was the Maya who harnessed the knowledge of the stars, and the celestial movements, to create a mystical union of man, nature and the gods. It was a world of great kings, elaborate ceremonies, fierce battles, and even human sacrifice. 18 Survivors will...

Murderer possibly a sailor rather than a surgeon, says new bookFor all the blood spilt by Jack the Ripper, and all the ink expended since by authors claiming to know his identity, ripperologists generally agree that with the killing of the prostitute Mary Kelly in Whitechapel on November 8 1888, his frenzied murder spree came to an abrupt end. After that "Jack" - if that was indeed his name - disappeared into the London fog, never to be seen again. But what if the murders continued in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua? And what if, after a break of eight...

The big stink over Dave Matthews Band's big stink is over. The jam rockers have agreed to pony up $200,000 to an environmental fund to settle a lawsuit brought by the Illinois attorney general in connection with a band bus driver dumping 800 pounds of liquid human waste from a DMB tour bus into the Chicago River. On Friday, Attorney General Lisa Madigan announced the state was dropping its civil suit, which alleged the usually eco-friendly rockers violated environmental regulations and public nuisance laws. "This settlement is reasonable and appropriate given the public and environmental health threats caused by this...

Sometimes a story is a mask for a covert operation. * The prime minister of ex-Soviet Georgia was found dead on Thursday in a bizarre gas poisoning that robs the inexperienced president, Mikhail Saakashvili, of a steadying hand to help run his turbulent country. * Cargo plane crashes near homes outside Khartoum, Sudan killing crew of seven *Train Crash in India Kills 52 *Top Cop, Bodyguards Gunned Down in Chechnya.

I like feeling wanted, but over the past several months I've noticed I'm getting pinged for things that I don't know (and unfortunately don't really care) about. The only ping list I remember signing up for is PJ's DUmmie FUnnies. Most of the other stuff is interesting, and it's nice to be invited into conversations, I'm just wondering if this is a common occurance with FReepers...or am I just odd? And really most of this stuff didn't start until I started with DUmmie FUnnies... or maybe that's the only time I really started noticing it. Any answers? Thanks

Yes, the alleged large voter turn out in Iraq is all very nice, but the important question is, what does Ted Kennedy think?
