Now, on the heels of yet another revelation—that Kerry’s DD 214 (“Report of Transfer or Separation”), displayed on his website, shows his Silver Star embellished with an unauthorized “V” for valor—which makes it facially false and at variance with official government records (see our article, John Kerry’s Mysterious Combat “V”)—it has come to light that his Silver Star award is fraught with other peculiarities.

This is obvious, I suppose, but it says a lot about the mainstream media even so: Although Fahrenheit 9/11 is vicious and entirely based on cheap innuendo, the mainstream press hailed it, with the New York Times calling the effort a “blistering documentary attack.” Unfit for Command is by contrast sober and factual—and any errors it has been shown to contain are minor. The mainstream press has nevertheless responded with frenzied denuciations, with the New York Times devoting a front-page, above-the-fold story to what was in effect a hatchet job on the authors.
