On May 18, NewsBusters introduced you to Kristen Byrnes, the fabulous fifteen-year-old from Maine who had torn apart many of the myths purported by the Global Warmingist-in-Chief, soon-to-be-Dr. Al Gore, in his schlockumentary “An Inconvenient Truth.”Now, the Precocious Ponderer from Portland is taking on the scientist that Gore relied on for much of his misinformation, James Hansen of NASA.In her recent report entitled “Houston, We Have a Problem,” Byrnes identified a serious concern with this so-called scientist that many anthropogenic global warming skeptics have been addressing for years (emphasis added throughout): James Hansen seems to have a busy life for someone...

Political Color In his new book "Politics Lost," Time magazine columnist Joe Klein complains about today's colorless political figures. He cites Teresa Heinz Kerry as a notable exception, but also talks about the problems that can cause. Klein recounts that at the 2004 Democratic Convention, Heinz Kerry tried to prevent vice presidential candidate John Edwards from joining her husband onstage before she did, insisting, "I am the spouse. I go first." Unable to reason with the woman, Klein writes, a young aide waited until the end of Kerry's speech then "blocked Teresa with both arms, turned his head, and yelled...

Theresa Heinz Kerry failed in her bid to become First Lady, but she's not giving up on buying her way into political power. "The word in Pennsylvania is that Kerry and other family members are pressing her son Chris Heinz to run for a House of Representatives Seat," says Washingtonian Magazine.

With 10 you get egg roll. With presidents you get first ladies. And we've had some mighty nice first ladies in this nation's history. We've also had some kooks. We may get yet another on Tuesday. A very rich and snotty one at that.

As his long record on national security shows, Sen. John Kerry is no John Heinz. John Heinz is everywhere yet nowhere in the race for Pennsylvania's electoral votes. Taken by tragedy in a horrific plane crash 13 years ago, the memory of the U.S. senator who was my boss is daily invoked by the presense of his widow and sons as the second family of the Democratic nominee, Sen. John F. Kerry.

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. (Reuters) - Democratic challenger John Kerry accused President Bush on Friday of jilting women with empty promises and said his Republican rival could learn something about hard work from their daily struggle. Courting the women's vote, the Massachusetts senator was introduced by Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, the daughter of President John Kennedy, and the latest in a long line of high profile women -- including Sept. 11 widow Kristen Breitweiser and Dana Reeve, wife of the late actor Christopher Reeve -- who signed on for joint appearances. Kerry said his presidency would offer women "a fresh start" with good...

They keep at it, don't they? Did you see how they dredged up a fluff piece about Hillary taken from Clinton's run 12 years ago? Dianne Feinstein says that one votes for the individual not the spouse for President. Why then Does CBS not remember Hillary's famous quote " We are the President"? Is that because people would then infer that Theresa could team with her gigalo to become the President? She has the power in the relationship after all, doesn't she? They are trying to propagandize that this loopy individual couldn't become our next president. Methinks the CBS writers...

Tick, tock, Tick Tock... it's 17 Days to Election Day and Theresa Heinz Ketchup - billionairess extradinaire - has still not accounted for her 12% discount that our poor slobs don't get. Why not just end the speculation and release their tax returns? Oh that's right, then it will come out that the whole "mortgage" loan to Kerry from one of their mansions - which was used to jumpstart his campaign in Iowa during the DeanScream days - was in fact a scam! I also suppose they will not want it to come out that she supports whacko left wing...

Wives step up to podium First of all, before I get to today's topic, I'd like to apologize for running a "Best of Snide Remarks" last week. I realize you'd probably seen that column before, but I needed a break, and a little fishing in Washington really did the trick. Anyway, it was great to spend some time outdoors; my batteries are recharged, and I'm ready to go. It's presidential debate season, and you know what? Who the hell cares? We've already heard it all -- all the accusations, all the name calling, and all the grandiose promises. And let's...

"If you ask me, it'd be little short of disastrous for us to discover a source of clean, cheap, abundant energy because of what we would do with it." That very bizarre statement was said by Amory Lovins, who received a quarter of a million dollar Heinz Award for the Environment from the $1.24 billion war chest of foundation money that is controlled by Teresa Heinz Kerry. Such statements illustrate the irrational mindset of environmental extremists. The Capital Research Center watchdog group reports that Heinz Kerry has been active in funding radical groups that have blocked U.S. efforts to achieve...

The average lifespan for American men is around 74 years, and around 80 for women. So you would think that people like John Kerry and his wife, who have both been on this earth for over 60 years, would have gotten their acts together enough to convey some sense of internal coherence, personae that have at least a smidgen of authenticity. I don’t get either coherence or authenticity from John Kerry or Teresa Heinz Kerry, whether they’re together or apart. What I do get is a hidden agenda that bodes ill for America's future - agendas that should mobilize all...
