Three Indonesian Christians on death row for leading a mob that killed Muslims during inter-religious violence in Central Sulawesi province are to be executed on Saturday, the Attorney General's office said. Fabianus Tibo, Marianus Riwu and Dominggus Silva will face a firing squad just after midnight on Friday at a secret location in the Central Sulawesi provincial capital of Palu, a spokesman for the Attorney General said.

HONG KONG, Jan 24 (Reuters) - A large earthquake hit Sulawesi, Indonesia, early on Monday, the Hong Kong Observatory said. The quake, measured at 6.1 on the Richter scale at 4.15 a.m. (2015 GMT) in Hong Kong, was centred about 40 km (25 miles) south-southwest of Palu, the observatory reported. It gave no further information. The quake comes less than a month after the magnitude 9.0 Dec. 26 quake in the west of Indonesia that generated a tsunami, killing as many as 234,000 people around the Indian Ocean rim.

AN Australian trained with Spanish al-Qa'ida militants in a camp in war-torn Poso, central Sulawesi, according to intelligence reports. Security expert Ken Conboy told The Australian the terrorist training camp was set up in an abandoned Christian village about 10km east of Poso.
