A number of Saudi nationals suffering from physical and mental problems have fallen victim to an unknown man whom lives in Egypt and claims he can cure them by sending over a ‘Muslim jinn’ [genie] to address their health issues. The Egyptian’s agent in Saudi Arabia arranges a phone call, understandably, to identify the exact nature of their medical emergency, and too, establish which jinn to dispatch in order to properly address the problem. “People who spoke to the man in that country were asked to transfer a specific sum of money to his account so he can send them...

Kristy, 15, was in such pain after days of being attacked with sticks, a metal bar, hammer and chisel that he begged to die, jurors heard. His brother-in-law Eric Bikubi was joined by his partner, Kristy's sister Magalie, in the horror, said Brian Altman QC, prosecuting. And his other siblings were forced to join in before they were all placed in the bath to be hosed down in cold water with a shower head by Bikubi on Christmas Day, 2010. ... The jury was told that in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where the defendants are originally from, witchcraft...

There is much turbulence in the Iranian government today. Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is not happy that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad fired Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslehi last month. He has now given Ahmadinejad an ultimatum to either re-instate Moslehi or resign. A sullen Ahmadinejad caught a bad case of the “blue flu,” and stopped showing up for work. According to the BBC, one of his aides wrote a blog post that said the Iranian president “is in pain, as if a thorn is stuck in his throat… he cannot take it out or swallow in.” Try that one the next time...

Are witches real? Of course they are. Are they skinny old women with green skin, pointy chins and warts on their noses, who cackle over cauldrons? Of course not. Do they attend an academy called “Hogwarts,” play a form of hockey on their broomsticks and battle mythical beasts? Is “Samantha,” a pretty middle-class suburban wife with magical powers and a gaggle of kooky and spooky family members, a witch? Of course not. All of that is an attempt to make us believe that there are not really such things as witches.

Lesson 34: The First Commandment "Come let us praise the Lord with joy: let us joyfully sing to God our savior. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; and make a joyful noise to Him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. For in His hand are all the ends of the earth: and the heights of the mountains are His. For the sea is His, and He made it: and His hands formed the dry land. Come let us adore and fall down: and weep before the Lord that...

JEDDAH Muslim clerics are warning Saudis against a new Satanic phone-gang who prey on people by telling tall tales over the telephone and trying to frighten them into parting with thousands of riyals. The criminal gang, whose leader goes by the name Abdullah Al-Senegali, randomly phones unsuspecting members of the public, armed with knowledge about their lives which some victims believe to come from satanic sources. The scam is similar to the common fraudulent e-mail solicitations in which people pose as an official from a foreign country seeking a business transaction, but in reality want banking information from potential victims....

DAR ES SALAAM (Reuters) - Tanzanian police arrested two men accused of killing a 9-year-old boy and selling his skin for 20,000 shillings ($18) to make sorcerers' get-rich-quick charms, a senior officer said Friday. The selection of sticks belonging to Martin Nagoagoumi, a “witchcraft” detective, does not bode well for Stephanie as she stands accused of sorcery at the police station in Bangui, the Central African Republic’s capital.Stacked under the dusty scales of justice are long, thin canes for beating children, metal poles with flattened tops, and a long wooden stave punched with nails for use on adults who refuse to “confess”.Stephanie, 13, an orphan, shakes at the sight of the sticks and tells the detective that she was tricked into becoming a “witch”.
