There is no evidence to suggest that former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic was poisoned, according to a United Nations investigation. The Hague tribunal's report said he died of a heart attack - despite claims "in some segments of the media that he was the victim of murder". Mr Milosevic died in his cell on 11 March while on trial for war crimes. The report said security breaches did allow him to self-medicate but said he had received "proper care"... Doctors from Serbia, Russia, France, Belgium and the Netherlands, who had treated him before or during his time in detention were...

KOSOVO: THE WAR DEMOCRATS LOVED By Don Feder The Democrats have been characterized as a party of peace marchers and flag-burners -- a Neville Chamberlain cadre chattering away on cable TV, knee-jerk internationalists who’ve mistaken the United Nations for the United States Marines. I must protest this calumny. Under the right circumstances, the Democrats can be Sgt. York and Audie Murphy times Rambo. There was a little war of which Democrats are exceedingly fond – so much so that they’re still bragging about it five years later. It’s a conflict that didn’t involve allegations of weapons of mass destruction. The...

<p>An outgoing deputy prime minister, Nebojsa Covic, said voters had punished the reformist government for failing to raise living standards.</p> <p>"Living standards." There’s always an excuse for hatred, it seems: "We supported Hitler because the economy was bad," or "We didn’t oppose Stalin because he kept order." The behavior of many Serbians over the last decade sickens me. Remember the TV images of Serbian youth holding rock concerts in support of their soldiers’ genocidal activities in Kosovo? Just to set the record straight, I’ll once again remind people of the blood that some (not all) Serbians have on their hands.</p>

US President Bill Clinton has vowed to continue bombing Yugoslavia unless President Slobodan Milosevic stops the attacks on ethnic Albanians in Kosovo. "If President Milosevic will not make peace, we will limit his ability to make war," he said in a nationally televised address. Mr Clinton said the military action had three goals: to demonstrate the seriousness of Nato's opposition to aggression to deter President Milosevic from further attacks on Kosovo Albanians to damage Serbia's capacity to wage war As bombs exploded across Yugoslavia, Mr Clinton told America there was a "moral imperative" to end Serb attacks on Kosovo Albanians....
