A senior adviser to Hillary Clinton was arrested in Nashua, N.H., on charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated the day before the Jan. 8 primary, according to an article Saturday in the Nashua Telegraph. The Telegraph reported that Sidney Blumenthal was given a field sobriety test by a Nashua officer who pulled him over for going 40 miles over the 30-mph speed limit at about 12:30 a.m. Jan. 7. The officer reportedly smelled alcohol and arrested Blumenthal following the sobriety test. He refused to take a breath test.

Sid Blumenthal had cultivated a strong relationship with Hillary Clinton when he was Washington correspondent for the New Yorker, so when he quit to join the Clinton White House in 1997, there were jokes about whether he'd ask for back pay.

Strata informs us that Sidney Blumenthal has leaked the fact that NSA is assisting Israel in tracking weapons shipments from Iran and Syria to Hezbollah, gaining him anti-Israel supporters and (one hopes) a chance to talk to the grand jury investigating NSA leaks: Why would Sydney Blumenthal risk everything to publicize the fact he has been leaked – and is publicizing – classified information? The leftwing, anti-Israel sites are lapping this up. But my guess is Sidney just won himself an invite to a Grand Jury looking into leaks at the NSA:
