Tonight the DC Chapter conducted, with complete strategic and tactical surprise, a stealth freep of a major Clintonista gathering. While the occasion was a book-signing party for David Brock, we christened it the "Democrat Liars Club meeting." It was held at Lounge 201 in the shadow fo the Capitol at Second and Massachusetts NE. The honor role was 12 fierce Freepers, Jimmy Valentine's Brother, Marylander, Doctor Raoul, tgslTakoma, BMWcyle, BufordP, Angelwood, KLT and friend, BillF, ToleranceSucksRocks, and kristinn. THEIR dishonor role included Lanny Davis, James Carville, Sid Blumenthal, Tom Daschle, Barney Frank, and numerous toads and lackeys, almost none of...

A senior adviser to Hillary Clinton was arrested in Nashua, N.H., on charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated the day before the Jan. 8 primary, according to an article Saturday in the Nashua Telegraph. The Telegraph reported that Sidney Blumenthal was given a field sobriety test by a Nashua officer who pulled him over for going 40 miles over the 30-mph speed limit at about 12:30 a.m. Jan. 7. The officer reportedly smelled alcohol and arrested Blumenthal following the sobriety test. He refused to take a breath test.

Sid Blumenthal had cultivated a strong relationship with Hillary Clinton when he was Washington correspondent for the New Yorker, so when he quit to join the Clinton White House in 1997, there were jokes about whether he'd ask for back pay.

A.J. Strata informs us that Sidney Blumenthal has leaked the fact that NSA is assisting Israel in tracking weapons shipments from Iran and Syria to Hezbollah, gaining him anti-Israel supporters and (one hopes) a chance to talk to the grand jury investigating NSA leaks: Why would Sydney Blumenthal risk everything to publicize the fact he has been leaked – and is publicizing – classified information? The leftwing, anti-Israel sites are lapping this up. But my guess is Sidney just won himself an invite to a Grand Jury looking into leaks at the NSA:

The conspiracy theorist, who likely fed Mrs. Clinton the line about the “Vast Right Wing Conspiracy” (VRWC), was signing his book at a book store in North West D.C. on Friday, June 6, 2003. Naturally, your DC Chapter viewed this as a great opportunity to confirm Sid Blumenthal’s worst fears about the vastness of the VRWC. Even in the liberal enclave that is North West Washington, D.C., he cannot escape FReeper protests of his lies. We had a great time FReeping him as he promoted his book The Clinton Wars. For those who came late to FR, Blumenthal was a...

Washington: Anyone who followed Monicagate knows that it made enemies of now-U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Sidney Blumenthal, a former adviser to President Clinton. Graham, then in the House and a prosecutor at the president's 1999 impeachment trial, accused Blumenthal of trying to save Clinton by smearing Monica Lewinsky, the White House intern with whom the president had an affair. With the publication of "The Clinton Wars," Blumenthal takes his turn to write the history of the impeachment saga and, not surprisingly, pegs Graham as one of the era's most shameless villains. Expected to land in the top 10...

Of the many delusions plaguing the right throughout the Clinton impeachment crisis, none was more peculiar than its belief that Sidney Blumenthal, a political journalist turned White House aide, stood at the white-hot center of the Clinton cabal. In truth, Blumenthal was a somewhat peripheral figure in the Clinton White House. One of roughly two dozen "assistants to the president," Blumenthal was Clinton's big-ideas man, the guy who got whisked into the Oval Office whenever the president wanted to consider his place in the cosmos. Blumenthal's principal task was to organize a series of conferences on the "Third Way," wherein...

The Starr report is among the strangest sex books even written. Its two main characters are an infatuated needy young woman and a middle aged man who tries time and time again to end the affair but allows his instinct to override his sense.(!)The story is ordinary, squalid and unhappy. What distinguishes this dreary tale from countless others of its kind is the unusual narrator. He is omniscient, hovering even in the bathroom. He sees everything, recording every sexual adventure bloodlessly. Every sexual enoucounter is footnoted. He is cloaked as an antiseptic clinician-pornography in a white labratory coat. The graphic detail is...

His work 'This Town,' a satire about the White House press corps, played to audiences in Los Angeles and New York.Blumenthal became well known during the Clinton impeachment trial.
