In a bid which further delayed a vote on Judge Kavanaugh, Christine Blasey Ford's associates claimed earlier this week that Ford's too afraid to fly to Washington DC from California and instead needs to drive. As ABC News reported on Friday: [L]awyers for Ford are asking the Senate Judiciary Committee to schedule a hearing for her to be heard on Thursday, allowing time for Ford to make the drive from California to Washington D.C. Ford's friend, Kate Devarney, told CNN this week that Ford's fear of flying is directly related to her allegation of assault, and that an airplane is...

I'm 3 years younger Christine Blasey Ford. I grew up in an elite Seattle neighborhood, hanging around country club type places, going to tennis camps, and living in the culture of a girl coming to age in a wealthy enclave in the 1980's. That is not said to impress anybody. It just goes to show that I have an idea what kind of circles she walked in. Having read through the Holton-Arms yearbook pages from that era, I can say that the level of partying among those girls makes the Seattle 80's scene look mellow by comparison. They seemed to...

Statement from Debra Katz: "As Dr. Ford has said, she did not share her story publicly or with anyone for years following the incident with Judge Kavanaugh. It’s not surprising that Ms. Keyser has no recollection of the evening as they did not discuss it....” 1/2 .. It’s also unremarkable that Ms. Keyser does not remember attending a specific gathering 30 years ago at which nothing of consequence happened to her. Dr. Ford of course will never forget this gathering because of what happened to her there.” 2/2

A longtime friend of Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, says she does not know the Supreme Court nominee or remember attending a party with him. Leland Keyser, who characterized herself as a friend of Ford's, said through a lawyer that she "does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford.” Keyser's statement—which was circulated by the White House and given to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Saturday night—comes as Republican Senate staffers have been working to...

The deadline in question was not an offer to extend negotiations. We’ve already heard the answer that Ford is busy, dealing with intrusions and all the rest. She has had plenty of time to prepare for a trip to provide testimony that she requested. The meeting is scheduled for Monday afternoon in Washington, D.C. Given the way the committee has bent over backward, offering her multiple settings, including flying out to hear her testimony in California, with no need to travel, this is preposterous. The way things have been going thus far, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Grassley wind...

C'mon, Kavanaugh, why won't you walk the plank? After all, someone has made a "claim" against you. That, in a nutshell, was the complaint of a guest on Joy Reid's MSNBC show this morning. Said Maya Wiley: "Douglas Ginsburg was the person that was nominated by Reagan, after Bork got borked. Within a matter of days, he was honest about marijuana use, and had to step down. But a claim of sexual assault is not sufficient?"Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

Oops! You just knew that thought had to have shot across CNN reporter Randi Kaye's mind when she asked for a show of hands from a group of five Republican women in Florida about if they believe Brett Kavanaugh in regards to the accusations against him by Christine Blasey Ford. The reason was that all five women immediately raised their hands. As a result, for most of the rest of the interview poor Kaye took on the role of advocate for the accuser. This segment was part of Thursday's Anderson Cooper 360 with the host introducing the interview:

Christine Blasey Ford has named several people who would be witnesses to, or have knowledge of, what she says happened to her. Patrick Smyth denies it. Mark Judge denies it. Brett Kavanaugh denies it. People have claimed these are all men who went to school together, so they must be protecting themselves. What about any female witnesses? Christine Blasey Ford said there was one. Her name is Leland Keyser. She was Ford's classmate. She was not an eye witness, but Ford said she had knowledge of the party and assault. I have obtained Keyser's attorney's letter to the Senate Judiciary...

Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s attorneys have reached a tentative agreement during a conference call with bi-partisan committee staffers for her to testify on Thursday before the Senate Judiciary Committeewho regarding her uncorroborated accusations that Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her decades ago at a drunken high school pool party. Kavanaugh adamantly denies Blasey Ford’s accusations and has had dozens of women who have known him for decades come to his defense as character witnesses.

When NeverTrump pundit Erick Erickson suggested that the accusation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh by Christine Blasey Ford was the result of a PR job, there was both laughter and disdain from the left. There isn’t much mirth or contempt now that it’s been revealed who Judge Kavanaugh’s accuser has retained. According to Politico, Christine Blasey Ford — the 51-year-old California psychologist who says the Supreme Court nominee sexually assaulted her while they were in high school in Maryland — is receiving advice from Democrat activist Ricki Seidman. “Seidman, a senior principal at TSD Communications, in the past worked...

It was a week of pure political theater, a disgrace to everything this country used to stand for, and Democrats loved every minute of what they’d created. Between the faux outrage and the pearl-clutching across liberal Washington, there wasn’t a fainting couch that wasn’t engaged. It was all garbage. We will never know happened to Christine Blasey Ford in the early 80s, even after she tells her story. Frankly, I don’t care anymore. When she first came forward I was willing to hear her out. It quickly became clear, whatever her story was, that her story didn’t matter. By Monday...

As the political fight over the sexual assault allegation made against Brett Kavanaugh intensifies, Democrats are indicating that -- even if confirmed -- they intend to drag the fight over his Supreme Court nomination past November, raising the possibility of an impeachment push.

“I hope that each and every one of us will immediately denounce the horrific treatment of Dr. Blasey Ford,” Feinstein wrote on Twitter Friday. ---skip--- No sane person wants Ford to be threatened, of course. But apparently, that same concern isn’t being shown to the Kavanaugh family, who are undergoing threats of their own. (Don’t expect to see it played up in the biased mainstream media.) According to an article by Fox News, the Kavanaugh family has received threatening emails since Ford has come forward, emails that have included death threats. We warn you that there’s some graphic language ahead...

1) More big breaking news, which further undercuts the Ford accusation, as well as media handling of it. A source has given me the email that WaPo reporter Emma Brown sent to Mark Judge, one person Ford claims was at the party. This email is dated Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018.... 7) So first, huge problem: This was just a week ago, and we have Ford giving two different accounts of who was present. Four boys. No, three boys, one girl. Either way, therapist notes from 2012 definitively say four boys, which Ford didn't dispute. But now... a girl! 8) Other...

Dr. Christine Blasey Ford added Michael Bromwich, a former federal prosecutor and Department of Justice inspector general, to her legal team Saturday, as she prepares to give information to the Senate Judiciary Committee about her alleged hostile encounter with Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.... He represents former deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, a James Comey confidant and frequent target of President Donald Trump’s ire.

As the Senate Judiciary Committee staff negotiates with attorneys for Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of a past sexual assault, over a potential hearing on Thursday, Republican staffers are working to interview those who may have information about the alleged incident. CNN has learned that the committee has reached out to a longtime friend of Ford named Leland Ingham Keyser. On Saturday night, her lawyer, Howard Walsh, released a statement to CNN and the Senate Judiciary Committee.. “Simply put,” Walsh said, “Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no...

Attorneys for Ford and aides to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley are said to have reached a tentative agreement for the professor to testify Thursday during a “brief” phone call on Saturday and plan to speak again Sunday to flesh out additional details of her testimony. Members of Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s (D-CA) staff were also a part of Saturday’s negotiations. “Negotiations could still falter over those details, which include who will question the woman, Christine Blasey Ford. But in tentatively agreeing to a Thursday hearing, Republicans made a significant concession that suggested they were working to ensure that the session...

When news broke out that Brett Kavanaugh was Trump's pick to fill Justice Kennedy's seat, a few critics (including on FR) suggested that he was chosen as a nod to the Bush era and GOP establishment... I am not saying that another pick would have had an easier process nor that Kavanaugh is guilty in the least! But I do wonder if Trump really went with his gut. Sometimes his gut even leads him to side with the establishment, as in the case of the Alabama Senate primary between Luther Strange and Roy Moore. Trump endorsed Luther Strange...but the base...
