La Crosse, WI (WXOW) The latest Marquette University poll shows Governor Walker has closed the gap. In September, the Marquette Poll showed Tony Evers with a 49 – 44 lead. Those numbers today are 47 percent support for Governor Walker, 46 percent for Tony Evers, a statistical tie. UW-La Crosse political analyst Tim Dale says in general, more people are paying closer attention to the race. The Trump administration has approved a plan in Wisconsin allowing the state to shore up its Obamacare market. The plan is expected to lower premiums in 2019 by an average of 3.5 percent. Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wis.) is trailing Democratic challenger Tony Evers by 13 points in the upcoming Wisconsin gubernatorial race, according to a new poll released Thursday. Of the registered voters surveyed in the NBC News/Marist poll, 41 percent backed Walker in the race, compared to the 54 percent who supported Evers.
