HOUSTON - The Harris County Toll Road Authority now has an expensive plan to fix design flaws in its billion-dollar replacement of the Ship Channel Bridge. The original structure was finished in 1982. But, with just two lanes in each direction and no shoulder for emergencies, construction on a replacement was started in 2018. HCTRA’s Executive Director Roberto Trevino was hired after flaws were discovered in the design, and he says the danger could have been catastrophic. "It could have collapsed," he says. Trevino says the county wanted the new bridge to be sleek and iconic, resembling the Fred Hartman...

Chainsaws are an important tool in any homeowner’s tool shed. From trimming trees to clearing fallen branches, there is no quicker way to cut through thick branches or take down a tree. In fact, you won’t get a tool with more power per inch than a chainsaw. But all that power comes responsibility. The chain of the chainsaw moves anywhere from fifty to even eighty miles per hour at full throttle, cutting through the thickest branches with ease. Just imagine what this tool can do to your fingers or toes after a small moment of distraction.

2. AUTOIMMUNE PHENOMENA FOLLOWING COVID‐19 VACCINATION Autoimmune disease flares and new‐onset disease following coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) vaccination have recently been reported. 14 , 15 In general, all these cases appeared rare and most of them were moderate in severity and had an excellent resolution of inflammatory features, with the use of corticosteroids alone 14 , 15 (indicating that COVID‐19 vaccines are actually safe). The use of TLR7/8 and TLR9 agonists, as adjuvants of the available mRNA and DNA severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) vaccines, may be the trigger of these post‐vaccination autoimmune/inflammatory phenomena, 14 as it is...

Two weeks ago, the FDA begged a Texas judge to delay production on the first monthly batch of 55,000 pages of Covid-19 vaccine data submitted to the agency by Pfizer. Originally, the agency was set to produce just 500 pages-per-month.Now, Pfizer - which just forecast $54 billion in Covid-related sales in 2022, appears to be anticipating some bad news, as evidenced by several redline changes in their Q4 earnings releases. As Rubicon Capital's Kelly Brown notes on Twitter, the changes center around disclosures of unfavorable safety data. For example, in Q4 they added: "or further information regarding the quality of pre-clinical, clinical...

Data, transparency, and surveillance. That is what has been missing from the greatest experiment on humans of all time throughout this pandemic. Now, military medical whistleblowers have come forward with what they claim is perhaps the most accurate and revealing data set on vaccine safety one could possibly find. The pro-pharma politicians and media claim the CDC’s pharmacosurveillance tool “VAERS” is not good enough to trigger investigations into the shots because anyone can supposedly submit a vaccine adverse event entry. Thus, all the concerning safety signals from VAERS are being ignored, even though that system was put in place as...

With the huge increases in Omicron cases in Australia, let’s have a look at the measures taken by the Australian Open organizers to address transmission, both for athletes and spectators. This brief analysis concludes that, unless quiete a few athletes are already immune thanks to a previous disease, like for example Nadal is, it may be hard for the event to be realistically held, as most players will likely get Omicron during the 2 weeks of the event – from January 17 to January 30.A quick look at the website of the Australian Open shows that the authorities rely solely...

I’ve been getting frequent requests for at least the last six months to write about the Novavax covid vaccine. I’ve been resisting, mainly because it’s seemed uncertain whether it would ever actually be approved in the western world. Now that it’s been approved for use in the EU, however, that has changed, and I figure that I can put it off no longer.I guess the reason so many people are excited about the Novavax vaccine is that it uses a traditional technology that’s been used many times previously, rather than the new-fangled technologies used in the mRNA and adenovector vaccines...

The title of this essay takes the form of a question that many people are sometimes forced to ask themselves, "Should I Evacuate?". I'll go on here but let me get right to the point and say that if you're in a situation where you're wondering if you need to evacuate then GO. It is time to get out. What if you're wrong? Well, then you can go back to wherever you were after you feel safe to do so. But don't be worried that you might be wrong when you're in the moment, just act appropriately for your safety...

I just read about the latest CDC studies for ages 5 to 11 in The NY Times. The Times said the studies showed the vaccines are safe. That's complete bullshit. Here's what the data actually said.Steve Kirsch17 hr ago 194125 ransomnote: I don't know if the article image is copyrighted so link onlySummaryFor 5 to 11 year-olds, the numbers in the latest CDC paper indicate a death rate than is 10X higher than any sane stopping condition. The myocarditis rates in boys are at least 6X normal. The CDC paper is yet more evidence that the vaccines should be stopped...

Buried deep within the massive infrastructure legislation recently signed by resident Joe Biden is a little-noticed “safety” measure that will take effect in five years. Marketed to Congress as a benign tool to help prevent drunk driving, the measure will mandate that automobile manufacturers build into every car what amounts to a “vehicle kill switch.” As has become standard for legislative mandates passed by Congress, this measure is disturbingly short on details. What we do know is that the “safety” device must “passively monitor the performance of a driver of a motor vehicle to accurately identify whether that driver may...

It's beginning to look a lot like a pandemic-era Christmas at the White House. Officials have been scrambling to determine the best way of handling the typically buzzing party schedule in the executive mansion given the threat from the new omicron variant of the coronavirus, according to sources familiar with the deliberations. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki acknowledged earlier this month, weeks before the omicron variant made headlines, that the holidays would “look a little bit different,” this year, when asked about whether it had been determined if the usual receptions and galas could be safely held.

SNIP A new study out Tuesday reports that far too often, small amounts of industrial chemicals called phthalates (pronounced THA-lates), which are used to make plastics soft, have been found in samples of food from popular outlets including McDonald's, Pizza Hut and Chipotle. George Washington University researcher Lariah Edwards, professor Ami Zota and their colleagues purchased 64 fast-food items from national burger chains McDonald's and Burger King; pizza chains Pizza Hut and Domino's; and Tex-Mex chains Taco Bell and Chipotle, all around San Antonio, Texas. The study found harmful chemicals in a majority of samples collected. Phthalates are linked to...

A woman shared via TikTok that a random man allegedly tried entering her car while she was at a McDonald’s drive-thru with her daughter. In the video, posted by user Kenya La’Shae or @kenyalashae08, she’s heard telling the man “bye” repeatedly as he puts his face close to her car window. He appears to be holding onto her car. The man’s words are muffled since he’s outside the car, but La’Shae said he was telling her, “I need you to open the door.” When the man refuses to leave, La’Shae pepper sprays him. “I’m about to pepper spray him,...

Every day we hear health authorities claiming that the current crop of novel platform COVID vaccines are “safe and effective.” Last week we presented you with evidence that points to the increasing failure of the global mass vaccination program — at least in relation to its purported aim of stopping transmission and building herd immunity with a view to helping societies to exit the pandemic. In the light of this evidence, there is no scientific support for the “effective” claim which should be deemed scientific (or medical) misinformation. This week, we look closer at the other side of the coin, the...

If the vaccine is so safe that Biden wants to mandate its administration, then the US Executive Branch should sell insurance against any ill effects of The Jab. I would suggest a 10 million dollar payout on death, up to 2 million dollars for medical expenses to pay medical bills for adverse effects requiring hospitalization or nursing home care. Premium should be identical to flight insurance sold in airports. (US$2.50 according to my research.)

Around 22 percent of coal mines in China’s coal hub of Shanxi Province were recently ordered to stop operating due to major safety issues. One China observer said that problems persist due to a lack of oversight and corruption among authorities, and safety rules are regarded as a mere formality. From January to July, Shanxi produced about 675 million tons of raw coal, the highest among all provinces, accounting for about 30 percent of China’s total output in the same period. Suspending the coal mine operations in the province is a big deal as other industries would be affected.Shanxi is an...

Despite efforts to denigrate ivermectin as “horse paste” and prevent doctors from prescribing it and patients from using it, the latest research shows this safe, inexpensive drug is effective at keeping COVID patients out of the hospital. A patient with Type 1 diabetes called to tell me the pharmacist at our local Walgreens refused to fill the prescription I had written for ivermectin, so I called to ask why.The young pharmacist, a few years out of pharmacy school, informed me he did not understand why I was using ivermectin for early treatment of COVID because “SARS-CoV-2 does not have...

September 2021 marked the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. It was a somber occasion, as millions of Americans looked back on one of the worst atrocities in American history, and that calamitous foreign policy America embarked on in response to it. Revolver writes “one of” the worst atrocities, because there are deeds that killed far more Americans than 9/11 did. In fact, America is living through one of those atrocities right now. Newly-released FBI numbers confirm something that has been apparent for the last year: The Black Lives Matter movement is the deadliest entirely-preventable atrocity inflicted on the American...

It only took seven months after my family and I moved to Baltimore in January for us to move out. We’re hardly the only ones leaving — in 2020, Baltimore lost more residents than did any other major U.S. city. At one point, my Brazilian husband remarked, “I thought America was a developed country.”His observation is particularly telling because, before coming to Baltimore, we spent five years living abroad in two of the most dangerous places in the world – Brazil and South Africa. In many ways, life in those countries was easier than life in Charm City. The residents of...

In Uncertain Times, House Chapels ProliferateIn Western history, house chapels are a phenomenon associated mostly with aristocrats who lived on large estates and could afford to employ a resident chaplain. In times of persecution, these chapels often became important places of refuge, since their remoteness, together with the status of the family owners, introduced a kind of safety buffer between the outside world and the services that took place within. This safety was not always enough, alas, to prevent priests from being surprised and captured by hostile state forces. While some house chapels of the aforementioned sort are still in existence...
