MSNBC contributor Claire McCaskill said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that lying was now a “platform for the Republican Party.” Co-host Joe Scarborough said, “Claire, you know, looking at the reaction from Republicans on Herschel Walker, looking online, hearing what they said yesterday, it’s very obvious, and they have said it, by the way, this is not me putting words in their mouth, character doesn’t matter. National security doesn’t matter. They’re even saying this abortion doesn’t matter. Nothing but power matters. They’re saying it. They only care about power. Americans deserve more. Americans should want more. Americans should demand more....

Former President Barack Obama in a major speech on Thursday called for more regulation of social media content, in order to diminish “disinformation.” The former president delivered a speech on the issue at Stanford University after spending months studying the subject.

Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) said at a town hall meeting that if Republicans win back the Senate later this year they would not attempt to repeal Obamacare, or the Affordable Care Act. The admission came after the senator, who is running for his eighth term, was asked how the party planned to get Americans affordable healthcare. “It’s not repealing the Affordable Care Act, if that’s your question,” Grassley said Monday in Waukon, Iowa. “Yes, I’m saying that I would not — we’re not going to repeal the Affordable Care Act,” he added after the questioner pushed further.

The 9/11 attacks changed the Nation's dynamic, a newfound sense of patriotism not felt since World War 2 began. On September 20, 2001, George W. Bush stood before the Nation proclaiming, "Our war on terror begins with al-Qaeda, but it does not end there. It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped, and defeated." So, the long war began, with an entire generation growing up knowing nothing but war. Millions deployed to combat zones worldwide for this new form of warfare termed the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT). Podcasting flourished during the GWOT...

Former President Donald Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, said Monday on ABC’s “The View” that the former president proved “using racism as a platform” could be successful. When asked why her uncle has not supported the vaccine more, Trump said, “Because he is not a generous, kind, empathetic and passionate human being. He likes it this way. He likes the division. He likes the chaos. He’s been doing this since 2015. Well, longer, but on the national stage, he’s been doing this since 2015. People seem not to understand not only did he have the best medical treatment money could buy...

Freedom of Speech and expression means the right to express one's own convictions and opinions freely by words of mouth, writing, printing, pictures or any other mode. ... It also includes the right to propagate or publish the views of other people; otherwise this freedom would not include the freedom of press. The United States Constitution guarantees these rights for every American! In the weeks ahead this new platform will allow you to exercise your Constitutionally Protected Rights to express yourself in whatever way you decide in accordance with the law. If you're tired of being censored and silenced just...

Jason Miller, a senior adviser to former President Donald Trump, revealed on Saturday that the former president is considering launching his own social media platform in the not-too-distant future. * * * If Trump seeks to build his own platform, that would be a massive undertaking and require lots of investment and technological infrastructure. But with his personality and supporters—75 million Americans voted for him in 2020, the most votes a sitting president has ever gotten in history—fueling it, it could end up being successful.

Following increasingly totalitarian moves and speech from Democrats, the media, and Big Tech platforms, the company controlled by Jack Dorsey and linked with the Chinese Communist Party has removed the duly elected, sitting President of the United States. .....

From a friend via a copy-pasted email thread Many of you you have asked how safely store what we'll call "the modern sporting rifle" for the long term. Particularly let's focus on storage in what we'll euphemistically call "environmentally exposed" locations. The typical answer has been to liberally coat the firearm in some sort of viscous grease (last generally sold in the Korean War era) that can take an hour to get off if the firearm is needed/desired for use, and place all the parts in various bags inside a large diameter PVC Schedule 40 or better pipe, with threaded...

Parler, a Twitter-style social media platform, has gained popularity mostly among President Donald Trump's supporters and right-wing conservatives after the 2020 presidential election, but experts told ABC News they believe it's unlikely the platform will grow any further. "They have this echo chamber and they can't trigger anyone or target anyone because everyone believes what you believe," said Fadi Quran, campaign director at Avaaz, a global civic organization that studies misinformation. "It gets boring to be sharing the same type of hate, and so they end up having to come back to the top five social media platforms." Last week,...

In the past day there have been two very disturbing developments in internet deplatforming. We are all familiar with deplatforming from major social media services such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as those platforms outright silencing important news that harms Democrats, like the Biden family influence peddling scandal. Twitter regularly now places notices or restrictions even on Trump’s tweet on the allegation that his opinions on the election are disputed. In the four years Trump as been the subject of dishonest and malicious conspiracy claims, particularly Russia collusion, I can’t remember Twitter ever placing such restrictions on the tweets...

Aren't we all familiar with Alexander Hamilton? He is famous for three major deeds...I list them from least important/impressive to most. 1. Founder of the Bank of New York. 2. Founder of The New York Post. America's oldest newspaper and 5th largest. 3. Founding Father and signer of the Constitution of the United States of America as the one delegate from the State of New York to the Constitutional Convention. The nexus here is that Dorsey's Twitter and Zuckerberg's Facebook blocked the Front Page Article of the New York Post that proved Sleepy Joe is a criminal. Section 230 for these...

The Democrat Party Platform, released for public scrutiny on July 27, reads like the late-night, tired comments of a teacher of economics reviewing existing legislation and possible improvements as he prepares for a lecture. The document lacks verve, originality, and wisdom. The goal in writing the document clearly is not to enlighten, inform, or inspire, but to put the reader to sleep within the reading of three or fewer pages. In case anyone thinks that's the way platforms "always are," he needs only look at the Democratic Platform of 1936 which, deep into the Great Depression, is written in succinct,...

There's been a lot of discussion around whether or not Catholics can support the Democratic Party. I laid out an introduction here and here as a background for examining their platform regarding those things a Catholic can never support: abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, cloning, and homosexual marriage. Below, are the major party platforms and policy initiatives on these issues of life. Abortion"The common outcry, which is justly made on behalf of human rights—for example, the right to health, to home, to work, to family, to culture—is false and illusory if the right to life, the most basic and...

America is an idea—one that has endured and evolved through war and depression, prevailed over fascism and communism, and radiated hope to far distant corners of the earth. Americans believe that diversity is our greatest strength. That protest is among the highest forms of patriotism. That our fates and fortunes are bound to rise and fall together. That even when we fall short of our highest ideals, we never stop trying to build a more perfect union. When the American people go to the polls this fall, we will be choosing more than a candidate. Character is on the ballot...

Michelle Obama provided the star power at Monday night’s opening of the Democratic Party convention, but the evening really belonged to Bernie Sanders. The Vermont socialist, so long a voice in the wilderness, was handed a prominent speaking slot to celebrate how much the party and Joe Biden have adopted his ideas for governing. He earned it. Mr. Sanders failed a second time to win the nomination this year, foiled by the extraordinary turnout of older black voters in South Carolina for Mr. Biden. But in many ways the progressive war horse has won the more important fight for the...

Self-proclaimed Marxist and Black Lives Matter (BLM) co-founder Patrisse Cullors called on Democrats to make “sea changes” to their party platform and adopt radical legislation that calls to defund the police force, eliminate both the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and close all federal prisons and immigration detention centers, alongside various other radical demands — otherwise, “any claims of allyship and solidarity with our work to fight for black liberation are for naught.” Cullors stated there is “an opportunity right now to right the course of history” and warned that if not careful, the...

Editor's note: The column was co-authored by Bruce Abramson. Anyone concerned with Jews and Israel should be horrified by the Democrats’ newly released 2020 platform. It directly threatens the Jewish state, employs double-talk calculated to stoke antagonism between the American left and Israel, and pays passing lip-service to opposing antisemitism, but in the gaslighting way Linda Sarsour and Ilhan Omar do; to deny it where it exists and point fingers elsewhere. In both narrative and policy, the platform crosses over the line into deep antisemitic territory. It’s a dangerous acceleration of an approach first tested when Joe Biden was Vice...

The Democratic Party platform has been published in draft form, and it is a beauty. An openly racist document, it is largely an attack on white people. The platform mentions whites or whiteness 15 times, never in a positive light. I want to focus on just one of those references to alleged white supremacy: Median incomes are lower and poverty rates are higher for Black Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, and some Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, compared to median white households. But wait! Notice how they tried to slip that one by you: “some Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.” Why...

In an alarming May 24, 2020 article titled “Scoop: Inside the Secret Talks to Overhaul the GOP Platform,” published by Axios, political reporter Jonathan Swan exposed the behind-the-scenes efforts of the socially liberal son-in-law of President Trump, Jared Kushner, to change the GOP platform so that it reflects Democrat views. While the radical overhaul of the GOP platform—and, therefore, the GOP—is the brainless-child of Kushner, the nitty gritty of the subversive project has been assigned to Bill Stepien, second in command for Trump’s re-election campaign, just under Brad Pascale. According to Swan, Kushner has been working on this secret “radical...
