Tell us something we didn’t already know. – Every American should take note of the fact that the United States Congress chose to leave Washington D.C. for well over a full month in the midst of the most severe national and global crisis since September 11, 2001. This represents absolute dereliction of duty on a grand and unprecedented scale. Congress has basically classified itself as a non-essential entity. But hey, we’ve kind of known that all along, haven’t we?

President Trump took off Wednesday on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, inaccurately saying she invited people to “parties” in San Francisco’s Chinatown in late February after he had taken his first significant steps to try to limit the U.S. spread of the coronavirus. Trump said at his daily White House news briefing that after he barred travelers from China on Feb. 2 and set up screening rules for U.S. citizens returning from the country, “Nancy Pelosi was trying to have in San Francisco parties in Chinatown because she thought it would be great.” Trump was misleadingly describing a tour of Chinatown...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says Democrats will “swiftly” challenge what she called President Trump’s “senseless” and “illegal” suspension of US funding to the World Health Organization. Trump stopped the funding on Tuesday, saying the WHO needs “meaningful reforms” after failing to report accurate coronavirus data from China, worsening the pandemic’s punch to the US. But Pelosi said Wednesday the United Nations body is essential to battling COVID-19. “This is another case, as I have said, of the President’s ineffective response, that ‘a weak person, a poor leader, takes no responsibility. A weak person blames others,'” Pelosi said in a statement.
