TUSCALOOSA | Supporters of Congressman Ron Paul dominated the West Alabama Republican Assembly 2007 Presidential Preference Straw Poll held at the Bryant Conferent Center this afternoon. Of the 266 votes casts during the poll, Paul claimed 216 of them, landing him an easy win.

Ron Paul received 216 votes for a commanding first-place finish in a straw poll today sponsored by the West Alabama Republican Assembly. Mitt Romney came in second with 14 votes. The poll was open to Alabama residents.
