May 29, 2009, Anchorage, Alaska – Governor Sarah Palin called on President Barack Obama to take a firm stand against North Korea and defend the states and territories of the United States of America and American allies on the Korean peninsula. Further, President Obama has proposed a $1.4 billion reduction of the Missile Defense Agency’s budget. “The United Nations sanctions have failed to stop North Korea’s development...

The Alaska Personnel Board, clearly frustrated with the pile of ethics complaints filed against Gov. Sarah Palin, wants to publicize the cost of dealing with them. The personnel board members decided at a Wednesday meeting to work with the attorney general's office on how to make public the cost of addressing each ethics complaint, without violating the board's confidentiality rules. "We've spent pretty close to about a third of a million dollars, and it's getting to be really expensive," said Al Tamagni, a member of the board. Also Wednesday, the three-member board dismissed another complaint, this one involving Palin and...

Gov. Sarah Palin is coming to Auburn June 6. The Alaskan governor and former Republican vice presidential candidate will travel to Auburn for what the city organizers call Founders Day, which this year will celebrate 50 years of Alaskan statehood. Auburn's Meghan Stapleton, Palin's former press secretary who continues to work for her as a spokesman in nongovernment matters, confirmed the visit with Auburn officials in recent days. Alaska and Auburn are linked through William H. Seward, who lived much of his adult life in Auburn and was secretary of state under Presidents Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson. Seward negotiated...

Gov. Sarah Palin on Thursday vetoed $28.6 million from the federal stimulus funds for energy efficiency. Despite pressure from some lawmakers and others to accept the federal money, Palin said she won't accept funds tied to adoption of building codes by local governments. "Alaskans and our communities have a long history of independence and opposing many mandates from Washington, D.C.," Palin said in a statement announcing the veto. "This principle of maximum self-government for local communities is also set out in our constitution. There isn't a lot of support for the federal government to coerce Alaska communities to adopt building...

Ensuring that Alaskans have affordable energy for decades to come is one of the most important jobs on my desk right now. To succeed, the state needs to look at every possible option and make sure Alaskans have all the information to make the right decisions. That's why I asked the Legislature to fund a thorough review of an in-state pipeline to move natural gas from the North Slope to Fairbanks, through the Railbelt and Southcentral regions, serving as many communities in the state as economically feasible. We're not wasting any time in this effort. The Legislature adjourned just three...

...(Excerpt) The “Dan Quayling” of Sarah Palin continues and this make-her-look-stupid-campaign testifies to the fact that she remains a formidable political figure. The irony of this is largely lost on most of the “beautiful” minds over at NBC, MSNBC, CNN, CBS, & ABC, where the teleprompters double as mirrors. The charismatic Governor of Alaska draws enthusiastic crowds wherever she goes – even after the defeat of the Republican ticket at the hands of the yes-we-can guys. And the very idea that she can make millions with a book at a time when publishers are shy about taking many risks in...

Blog post by Greta Van Susteren at FOX: hhm …. by Greta Van Susteren My husband was just told that a news organization is snooping around …asking…. whether he told (asked?) Governor Palin to use her (Gov Palin’s) PAC to pay off Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s multi million dollar campaign debt. Now that might be a hot story to some — if it were true or even possible. For starters if the news organization did a bit more background research, the organization would learn this is impossible. PAC’s can only contribute $5000. $5,000 is not going to retire a...

During the 3PM hour on MSNBC, anchor Norah O’Donnell derided Alaska Governor Sarah Palin for attending the annual Alfalfa dinner in Washington, D.C., declaring: "Sarah Palin is coming to D.C. she ran as a maverick this whole campaign, wanted nothing to do with people in Washington, the anti-establishment candidate, and now she's coming to the most exclusive dinner in Washington, to hobnob with perhaps the president, ambassadors, senators, all the people she derided during the campaign. What's up with that?"

West Hollywood, California (Thursday, January 29, 2009) - In the latest twist of effigy events (will they ever end?), Hunter Bush and Joe Fischer, a pair of college students who hung an effigy of then-candidate Barack Obama on the University of Kentucky campus in direct response to the West Hollywood Halloween Sarah Palin effigy, escaped charges this week. A grand jury dismissed charges of second-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking and disorderly conduct against Mr. Bush, age 21, and Mr. Fischer, age 22, for their role in hanging an effigy dressed in a black sports jacket, khaki pants and Barack...
