FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE No. 09-127
Governor Palin Lauds Congressional Firearm Provision
May 20, 2009, Juneau, Alaska - Governor Sarah Palin today welcomed the news that Congress has passed legislation that would permit visitors to carry loaded firearms in national parks and wildlife refuges, subject to the requirements of state law. The provision was included in legislation placing new restrictions on the way in which credit card companies deal with consumers.
This is certainly good news for Alaska, Governor Palin said. The ability to carry a firearm can define a life or death situation, especially for protection against surprise encounters with wildlife, mainly bears. I appreciate the strong bipartisan support this received in the House and Senate. I am pleased the administration says the president will sign the bill.
Within Alaska, most of the national parks and refuge areas are open to various forms of hunting, so possession and use of firearms is already widely allowed under both state and federal law. ###

Palin PING! - No.9 - May 21, 2009
Anyone on or off the Palin ping, write me.
Smooth talk your way out of that one, libs.
Better yet, send unarmed Libs into Alaskan forests to convince the bears otherwise.
Palin/Cheney’12!
Good idea. We need to help our lib friends organize a dialogue with the bears, maybe have a group hug or two.
After all, "it takes a village!"
"What have you got against bears?!?"
Well for one thing, they $#!+ in the woods. That’s icky.
Palin for President - 2012!
That would have been especially "icky"...

What was cool about him is how many years he didn't get et. He proved that bears have an understandable, repeatable, and fairly reliable set of communication behaviors which, if understood and followed, result in them allowing people to actually hang out with them, up close, in their family groups, for prolonged periods of time. Now I think that is a truly remarkable achievement.
As for getting et, no one knows what happened. Maybe a bear was sick or deranged. Maybe he sneezed at the wrong time. More data is needed, as in any research field. Although, of course, the results were horrific under the circumstances. But that doesn't take away of the genuine scientific knowlege he achieved and verified, or his considerable courage.
We need a Bear Potty Bailout! Taxpayers need to fund toilet facilities for unemployed bears.
Where did you find that pic of the Time Bandit in dry dock? I’ve gotten to love The Deadliest Catch more recently.
I wasn't aware that he accomplished anything other than self aggrandizement and leading a woman to her horrible, screaming death, do you have a link about his scientific accomplishments?
