Sarah Palin visits South Fulton in April to campaign for Karen Handel. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin weighed in via Facebook this morning with a couple of Georgia GOP U.S. House runoff endorsements: former state Sen. Barry Loudermilk of Cassville in the 11th and surgeon Bob Johnson of Savannah in the 1st. It’s another tea party stamp of approval for Loudermilk and Johnson, who have the backing of national groups as well. When Palin backed Karen Handel in the U.S. Senate primary, the Handel campaign reported a surge of donations. Here’s Palin’s full post: Just back from a beautiful weekend...

Sarah Palin has finally lost it. In an essay on Breitbart.com, Palin demands the impeachment of President Barack Obama. Her piece starts off loopy and devolves from there. "Enough is enough of the years of abuse from this president," she begins. "His unsecured border crisis is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, 'no mas.'" I'm sorry, what? Why the switch to espanol? Is she implying Obama is a wife beater? That America is a battered, Spanish-speaking esposa? No idea, but by the end of her essay, I felt positively battered by her battiness. She accuses the president...

How could someone filled with such promise plunge so far, so fast? How does one go from national icon to national laughingstock? That’s exactly what has happened to Sarah Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee. Once arguably the GOP’s most charismatic celebrity, Palin is now better known for “thriving in this role of right wing shock jock” as Nicolle Wallace, a former senior adviser for the John McCain-Palin campaign, now puts it. It’s a far cry from Sept. 3, 2008, when Palin, then the largely unknown Alaska governor, confidently strode onto the stage at the Republican National Convention as...

<p>On the series, the former Republican vice-presidential candidate and Alaska ex-governor profiles outdoor enthusiasts and craftsmen. The show aired Thursday nights and finished its first season May 29....</p>

INDIANAPOLIS — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin fired up a crowd of thousands inside Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday night to kick off the National Rifle Association’s “Stand and Fight Rally,” saying Americans’ constitutional rights as envisioned by the founding fathers are under attack and policies like gun-free zones constitute “stupid on steroids.” “They knew that if the Second Amendment goes, the rest of the constitution is not far behind,” she said of the country’s founders. In her approximately 12-minute address, Mrs. Palin also derided what she argued is akin to a ‘blame the messenger’ attitude on gun violence many Americans...

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has emerged as a front-runner for Mitt Romney's vice presidential nomination, according to a report Thursday by the Drudge Report. ..... < snip > ..... But during that same interview, Rice downplayed speculation that she would be chosen as Romney's running mate. I didn't run for student council president. I don't see myself in any way in elective office, Rice told CBS This Morning on Tuesday. The former Secretary of State said the Republican candidate had a deep bench of more willing candidates to choose from. I'm saying there is no way I will...

A documentary film chronicling the rise of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) will play exclusively at AMC Theatres in Dallas, Atlanta, and a host of other cities in the South and Midwest beginning in July. Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corporation announced Friday that the Stephen Bannon film The Undefeated, about Palin’s rise in Alaska politics, will roll out at select theaters on July 15. The film makes no attempt at objectivity, featuring Palin supporters and conservative political commentators and bloggers like Tammy Bruce and Andrew Breitbart. The film is expected to premiere later this month in Iowa, New Hampshire, and...

Sarah Palin told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren this week that she was worried that the presidency could prove to be “too shackling” for her maverick style and somehow limit her.Wednesday night, Jon Stewart took aim at her claims on "The Daily Show."“The biggest contemplation piece in your process is that becoming the president would diminish your power?” Stewart asked. “You’d be the f***ing president! You would be the commander-in-chief of history’s greatest fighting force. What do you mean? What possibly do you mean? And don’t misunderstand, I am not trying to talk you into running. It is just, by...

In New Hampshire, they’re still holding out hope for Sarah. Cheerleaders for former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin are eagerly awaiting her keynote speech Feb. 11 at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C., hoping against all odds she’ll shake up the GOP field and announce a run — for president. “If she’s going to do it, that’s when she’d do it,” said Warren Rasmussen, the volunteer New Hampshire coordinator for Organize4Palin.com. “If she felt there was really no one who could make a proper case for conservatism, I think she might feel compelled to run.” Sure, it’s a long...

Sarah Palin wasn’t ever really going to run for president, was she? That’s Donald Craig Mitchell’s guess. In an Op-Ed that discusses Palin’s decision not to run, Mitchell says she’s long prioritized her celebrity career over her commitment to public office, reminding us of Palin’s lucrative deals that followed after she quit as Alaska’s governor, including a seven-figure contract with Fox News. After three years of tweeting, hinting and eyelash-batting, on Wednesday Sarah Palin announced that she was not running for president. Her Facebook friends are disappointed. But for Sarah-watchers in Alaska like me, the announcement was long expected, old...

I was supporting Cain , but for a variety of reasons have ended that support . There's no one else currently running whom I wouldn't have to hold my nose for when voting . I've always thought that Palin was unelectable ( if she ran , obviously ) , but am open to being convinced otherwise . Thanks in advance .

One of the most fascinating, and maddening, topics among the political class in the past few weeks has been the electoral prospects of one Sarah Louise Palin (Schwerpunkt-AK), former GOP Vice Presidential Candidate and Governor of Alaska. A number of GOP-friendly websites seem to have parted ways over her candidacy, with flamewars, purgings, and divisions running rampant. Among the sites with strong opinions are The Other McCain (pro), Ace of Spades (somewhat con), RedState (which seems to have descended into fullbore Palin Derangement Syndrome over the last few days), and Free Republic, which is officially pro-Sarah but has developed a...

A Palin victory will depend on the decisions the voters will make based upon her record in Alaska and the solutions she presents to the problems currently plaguing this country. Once a primary is running full force, most voters don’t remember or give the slightest hoot as to which candidate had jumped in a full year ahead of the game and which candidate is only in the race a half a year or three quarters of a year. Votes based on such calculations are petty, foolish, and therefore probably non-existent. When questioned at exit polls, voters usually point to a...

<p>Amid continued speculation that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is seriously considering a bid for the Republican presidential nomination, John McCain, 2008's GOP presidential nominee, said he thinks Christie would make a "viable" candidate - but he warned that "the swimming pool looks a lot better until you jump right in."</p>

I believe that the ruling class politicians see Palin as a real threat to their status quo, and her postponement of announcing her candidacy as a hindrance to their stopping her. One way to force her hand earlier than she intends is to move up the primaries. Anybody else see a pattern here?

As you all may have heard, Florida has decided to move it's primary date to January 31st. By doing this they have risked of losing half their delgates. Also this has caused the early states of Iowa, SC, NH and NV to now talk about moving their primary dates (possibly losing delegates) to early January or quite possibly the end of December. This will in turn make for a shorter and more intense campaign season. Today is the deadline for moving primary dates. State filing deadlines are fast approaching and we need to be ready to hit the ground running...

In November of 1979, five months before the first primary, Reagan announced he was running for president. Today is only three months before the first primary--three months. Yet I keep hearing people state that Palin has plenty of time to announce, because Reagan waited till November. 5 months vs 3 months. Do people understand that 3 is less than 5; that primary schedules have moved up; that Sara Palin is two months behind Reagan's schedule? It's obvious people seem to be missing the fact that the "Reagan deadline" passed two months ago. Palin is two months behind Reagan's schedule, and...

Sarah Palin is running out of time. So are New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, and any other Republicans mulling a bid for the presidency. The main reason: the political calendar is rapidly closing. Of all those considering a late entry, Palin is the most likely to make the dive. But, according to several GOP and Democratic primary and campaign experts, she should move quickly or else end up being left behind by the established pack of Republican candidates already on the field. Here are the top five reasons the experts cited for Palin to jump...
