While much of the conservative movement has seemingly lined up to oppose former House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s ascent in the contest for the Republican presidential nomination, high-profile defenders of Gingrich have been few and far between. But Gingrich does have one outspoken defender, conservative talker and author of “Ameritopia: The Unmaking of America,” Mark Levin. At the top of his Thursday radio show, Levin spoke out against those in the conservative movement that had decided to go on the attack against the former Speaker of the House. “If this is what the conservative movement has become then count me out,”...

This video is from a previous ABC Yahoo sponsored GOP debate. I believe this moment was what made conservatives take notice of Newt. Whoever is the presidential candidate ought to take note of Newt's rhetorical skills and use this as a weapon in his debate against Obama (hope it will be Newt himself. Nobody can do it better). HHS Secretary Katherine Sebelius is even now FORCING the Catholic Church to comply with HHS rules that would REQUIRE Catholic Hospitals and Healthcare services to provide sterilization and contraception services to people who request them. Who’s Mitt Romney hiring as his top advisers — Hugo Chavez and Kim Jong Un? According to NBC’s Andrea Mitchell, a “top Romney adviser” says that if Mitt loses Florida on Tuesday, “we’re going to have to try to reinvent the smoke-filled room which has been democratized by all these primaries and come up with someone as an alternative to Newt Gingrich.” Finally — a Republican campaigning against the scourge of democracy! First we’ll go back to the good old days of the “smoke-filled room,” then we’ll bring back Prohibition and get rid of women’s suffrage, too! Personally I can’t...
  • And We Should Hate Newt Gingrich for This?

All the members of the Republican Party who have been complicit and collaborative in the destruction of our nation in the past few decades always talking about smaller government while never fighting against the tide of creeping socialism have now come out against Newt Gingrich. Yesterday, at National Review, Elliot Abrams attacked Newt Gingrich for attacking Ronald Reagan from the right. Today, it is Bob Dole’s turn. Bob Dole, you will remember from George Stephanoupolos’s memoir of his time in Clinton’s White House, totally cut the legs out from under Newt Gingrich and House Republicans during the government shut down....

Mittens' campaign admitted yesterday they have  no intention of repealing ObamaCare... Romney to Santorum: 'nothing to get angry about' (!) _______________________________________________________________ TEA Party REALITY CHECK: If Mitt Romney wins the Florida primary next Tuesday, he almost certainly WILL be the Republican nominee for president.  Many conservatives -like myself- have been fighting this tooth-and-nail ever since it became apparent the GOP establishment was lining-up behind the grinning chameleon. But the biggest problem for us was a lingering doubt he would ever repeal ObamaCare... an imperative hot-button issue for many on the TEA Party right.  Frankly, Mitt is lying when he...

Ronald Reagan’s eldest son Mike Reagan has issued a statement lambasting Mitt Romney and his supporters for claims that Romney’s Republican presidential rival Newt Gingrich was a strong critic of President Reagan. Reagan says such claims are false. Even Rush Limbaugh, shocked by the Romney claims, chimed on his Thursday radio broadcast to say "This is obviously a coordinated attack to take Newt out here in Florida." Dear Mitt: In this year's contest for the Republican nomination, you have demonstrated your ruthlessness. Your attacks on fellow Republicans have show that you are willing to be as brutal, vile, and remorseless as is necessary to defeat your opponent. Presumably, this is how you made $200 million in about 12 years at Bain. In 2008 and now in 2012 you have left a field of wounded warriors in your wake: Huckabee, Giulianni and now Newt. We can see you are willing to be as dirty and nasty as you need to be to win. But the question remains, will...

Newt Gingrich may have pulled out a shock victory in South Carolina, but he has yet to win the heart of one political analyst. "Newt Gingrich is dangerous on many levels," Meghan McCain told News/Talk 92.3 KTAR's Mac & Gaydos. The Republican daughter of Arizona Sen. John McCain said that Gingrich uses techniques that make the younger McCain dislike politics, including race-baiting. McCain even went so far as to say that, if the election came down to Obama versus Gingrich, she would likely turn to a third-party candidate. "I can't vote for Newt Gingrich," she said. With McCain crossing her...

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, in a pre-recorded interview with Fox Business Network to air tonight, said the establishment was trying to "crucify" Newt Gingrich in the Republican presidential race. In an interview to air on Stossel at 10 p.m., Palin also says she sympathized with Ron Paul and defended his record on domestic issues, though she expressed differences with his foreign policy views. Here's some advanced excerpts of the interview: On whether she is sympathetic toward Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul (R-TX): “I sure am….he is not the only one vilified, though, look at Newt Gingrich, what’s going on...

It's looking more and more like the RINO, country club, elitist attacks on Newt Gingrich are having their intended effect and that Mitt Romney will win in Florida and possibly take the Republican nomination. I don't know about you, but I'm up to **here** with the "lesser of two evils" nonsense and I very much doubt that Mitt will choose Sarah Palin or someone like her as his VP. What to do, then? I'm open to any and all suggestions.

The New York Times reports today — based on unclear sourcing — that Mitt Romney has endorsed a strategy of raising doubts about Newt Gingrich’s “emotional stability.” Well, if that’s the case, here’s Exhibit A. A Florida source passes along a mailer that the Romney campaign — not the pro-Romney Super PAC; his campaign — just dropped in the state, and it comes as close as possible to making that case, hitting Gingrich as “erratic” and “reckless.” The mailer also prominently features a quote from my colleague Jennifer Rubin, describing Gingrich’s “well of sleaze.” Here’s page one: (GRAPHIC AT LINK)...

DORAL – At the Hispanic Leadership Conference in Doral, a group watched closely as the Republican candidates battled it on stage at the debate in Jacksonville. While the group doesn’t seem to endorse any one candidate, the cheering was considerably louder when Newt Gingrich walked onto the stage. Before the debate, Former Florida governor Jeb Bush spoke to the crowd, and we asked him why he wasn’t willing to endorse a candidate. (VIDEO AT LINK) “I think first of all, candidates need to earn it. Not that my endorsement would be the end-all-be-all, but I think it’s appropriate for them...

This was by far the best debate for Rick Santorum and Ron Paul. They both made effective use of the squabbling between Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich. Gingrich seemed tired, unprepared, and off his game tonight -- bad timing for the former House speaker. Romney had some clunkers -- he got caught redhanded on the anti-Newt attack ad, the line about not making his own investments could come back to haunt him, and he denied being politically involved during a time period that included a Senate campaign -- but he had the better showing overall. I'm seeing many people argue...

Conservative Rep. Newt Gingrich, tackling an issue that has proved politically explosive for Republicans, intends to propose next week a radical reform of Social Security in which government checks would gradually give way to private retirement accounts for most retirees.

There is NO WAY I will vote for Romney here in Florida. You can check my record here and you will see that I have been emphatically supporting him. But as I watch this debate tonight, it seems as though he has said and done virtually everything wrong. Is Santorum the last hope here? God help us; I wish Ron Paul was not a nut on foreign policy. I guess we need to focus on the Senate.

"I have not been critical of Newt Gingrich but it is now time to take a stand before it is too late. If Gingrich is the nominee it will have an adverse impact on Republican candidates running for county, state, and federal offices. Hardly anyone who served with Newt in Congress has endorsed him and that fact speaks for itself. He was a one-man-band who rarely took advice. It was his way or the highway."

Today I thought I had come to a liberal anti-conservatives/GOP/Republican website when to my great surprised, it turned out to be the Drudge Report website and what I thought was a dedicated attack on GOP Republican Presidential candidate Newt Gingrich from those who are in the GOP camp. This comes as NO SURPRISE AT ALL. Since Mr. Gingrich’s recent rise in GOP/Republican primary voters support, the GOP “elites” have all of a sudden have gone into panic attack mode, seeing that the candidate they support, Mitt Romney is not getting any support from the primary voters. Even much more so,...

Bob Dole, the 1996 GOP Republican presidential nominee, unleashed an attack on Newt Gingrich today, saying not only is he unsuited to be president, he’ll crush the party’s candidates at the state and local levels. “Gingrich had a new idea every minute and most of them were off the wall,” Dole said in a statement published by National Review. Dole was a senator from 1969 to 1996, overlapping with some of Gingrich’s time as speaker of the House. In his statement, Dole said he’s decided to speak out against Gingrich “before it is too late” and Republicans nominate someone who...
