A U.S. soldier has been honored for saving around 200 Jewish prisoners of war from being killed by the Nazis. Master Sergeant Roddie Edmonds led a revolt against Nazi instructions to identify Jews under his command after he was taken prisoner in the dying days of the Second World War. Edmonds was one of around 1,000 soldiers taken to the Stalag IXA camp Ziegenhain, Germany, after the Battle of the Bulge.

A vast and historically valuable trove of Holocaust-era documents, long thought destroyed during the second world war, has been found hidden in a wall cavity by a couple renovating their Budapest apartment. The haul of 6,300 documents are from a 1944 census that was a precursor to the intended liquidation of the Hungarian capital’s 200,000 Jews in Nazi death camps. Brigitte Berdefy, co-owner of the apartment overlooking Hungary’s parliament, said in August a worker detected paper after jamming a screwdriver through a crack in the wall....

The debate over Halloween costumes began late last month when the universitys Intercultural Affairs Committee sent an email to the student body asking students to avoid wearing “culturally unaware and insensitive†costumes that could offend minority students. It specifically advised them to steer clear of outfits that included elements like feathered headdresses, turbans or blackface. (clip) In response, Erika Christakis, a faculty member and an administrator at a student residence, wrote an email to students living in her residence hall on behalf of those she described as “frustrated†by the official advice on Halloween costumes. Students should be able to...

It was a rough night on the campus of the University of Missouri, thanks in large part to Student Body President Payton Head. Head posted on Facebook earlier in the night that the KKK was confirmed on campus and that he was working with “the MUPD, the state trooper and the National Guard.†The only problem with that terrifying statement is it wasn’t true and Head was forced to delete the post and apologize: Head then directed students to follow @MUalert — “The online emergency information center for the University of Missouri†— as the “ONLY account with confirmed informationâ€:

'August Landmesser refused to do the "Sieg Heil" salute during a Nazi rally at the Blohm. Adopted by the Nazi Party in the 1930s, Hitler's infamous "sieg heil" (meaning "hail victory") salute was mandatory for all German citizens as a demonstration of loyalty to the Führer, his party, and his nation. August Landmesser, the lone German refusing to raise a stiff right arm amid Hitler's presence at a 1936 rally, had been a loyal Nazi.'

Once you are aware of the truth behind the “Big Lie†you will notice it popping up over, and over, and over again “And there are moments when I curse myself for not having understood it earlier; for having let myself be fooled by the two ‘soccer-teams’ for so long. Dammit.â€â€”Oriana Fallacci (1929-2006) “The Force of Reason†Traditionally the political spectrum in the United States runs from Big Government on the left side of the spectrum to no government at all (anarchy) on the extreme right of the spectrum. This is not rocket-science folks: Big Government on the left; limited...

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Defending the Black Lives Matter movement, President Barack Obama said Thursday the protests are giving voice to a problem happening only in African-American communities, adding, "We, as a society, particularly given our history, have to take this seriously." Obama said the movement, which sprung up after the deaths of unarmed black men in Florida, Missouri and elsewhere, quickly came to be viewed as being opposed to police and suggesting that other people's lives don't matter. Opponents have countered that "all lives matter."

Benjamin Netanyahu: Palestinian Mufti Gave Hitler Idea to Exterminate Jews by Cassandra Vinograd, Yael Factor and Reuters Israel's prime minister suggested that a Palestinian gave Adolf Hitler the idea to exterminate Jews in the Holocaust, drawing rebukes from historians and politicians. In a speech to Jewish leaders on Tuesday, Benjamin Netanyahu that the Mufti of Jerusalem in the World War II era — Haj Amin al-Husseini — had a "central role" in inspiring Hitler's Final Solution to make Jews extinct. "He flew to Berlin. Hitler didn't want to exterminate the Jews at the time, he wanted to expel the Jews,"...

"Nazi is described as a right wing organization, Yet their were Socialists [sic]. They were left. But Chuck. But My BUTT." "National Socialist German Workers' Party. Nazi Party. Hitler. Need I go on?" "Maybe better. Democrats don't value the country. They value the power of Government. There is a difference ya know." "You want to know how much power our Government has over our lives? Just make the suggestion we shut it down. That's how much.LIBERTY we have." "While European countries, one by one, are dying on the vine, Democrats insist we become more like them. Insane!"

"Like many other political autodidacts, Ben Carson has an odd obsession with Nazi Germany. On several occasions, the pediatric-neurosurgeon-turned-Republican-presidential-candidate has compared the United States to the Third Reich. Mr. Carson has warned that a Hitler-like figure could rise in America. To understand what is happening in the Obama era, he recommended that people read “Mein Kampf.” And he won’t let go of the myth that the Holocaust would have been “greatly diminished” if Jews in Nazi Germany had been allowed to possess guns. To declare the United States to be “very much like Nazi Germany” is a special kind of...

The Obama administration's increasingly controversial Justice Department, in partnership with the ultra-leftist Southern Poverty Law Center, announced the creation of a new czar position to focus on “domestic terrorism” — especially the alleged threat from Christians and Americans with “anti-government” views. While ostensibly created to serve as a coordination office overseeing domestic terror cases, critics and analysts are sounding the alarm, warning that the administration is plotting to go after its political opponents with the full force of the federal government. The impetus for the Obama DOJ's new focus on conservatives, libertarians, Christians, and others appears to be the Southern...

Just two weeks after it announced a plan to globalize local police departments through the “Strong Cities Network,” the Obama administration has added a new tool in its fight against “violent extremism.” A new position within the Justice Department – yet to be filled – will focus on investigating lone-wolf domestic terrorists or “extremists.” The person who heads this new effort will target extremists who plan mass shootings, hold racist, bigoted or anti-government views or see themselves as “sovereign citizens.” The new position at the Justice Department, dubbed the “domestic terrorism counsel,” will serve as the main point of contact...

During World War II, 30,000 Jewish partisans fought in Eastern Europe, in their own combat units. In Western Europe, where anti-semitism among the conquered gentile population was less severe, Jews were able to participate as individuals in the national resistance, rather than having to fight in separate units. For example, in France, Jews amounted to less than one percent of French population, but comprised about 15 to 20 percent of the French Resistance. One of the most successful battles of the Jewish resistance was the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Nearly every Jew who participated was eventually killed — but they were...

There has been a great deal of ridiculous outrage over some perfectly defensible comments Ben Carson made last week. During an interview with Wolf Blitzer, Carson was asked to clarify something he’d written in his book, “A More Perfect Union”: German citizens were disarmed by their government in the late 1930s, and by the mid-1940s Hitler’s regime had mercilessly slaughtered six million Jews and numerous others whom they considered inferior … Through a combination of removing guns and disseminating deceitful propaganda, the Nazis were able to carry out their evil intentions with relatively little resistance. With Blitzer, Carson added:...

Brother Tariq: The Doublespeak of Tariq Ramadan, by Caroline Fourest; foreword by Denis MacShane (Encounter Books, 262 pp., $23.95) In the 1990s, Western liberals, alarmed at the presence of Islamic fundamentalists in their midst, turned in desperation to Muslims whom they dubbed “reformers” or “modernizers.” They hoped that these figures would have a moderating influence on disaffected Muslim youths who refused to integrate into Western society. One such “reformer” is Tariq Ramadan, a Swiss-born academic. Ramadan has won the confidence of many in the West, including the British government, which asked him to serve on its task force for...

Libyan security forces in Tajura, Libya, May 17, detain alleged migrants trying to make their way to Europe. According to reports, the Libyan security services claim to have detained hundreds of people attempting to enter Europe. (CNS photo/Stringer, EPA) Europe’s embrace of mass immigration can be explained in part by guilt from the Nazi era. It’s no coincidence that Germany, which has the most guilt to deal with, has pledged to take in the most refugees. But other European nations are not free of guilt. Some of them collaborated with the Nazis, and even those who didn’t feel a...

THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER is revealing information about both Donald Trump and Jeb Bush that the so-called mainstream media outlets are keeping from Americans as Election 2016 heats up. In a three part series, front runner Trump reveals his father “turned out to be right” when he put his 13 year old son in a military academy because “military training might be good for me.” What Americans like and trust about Donald Trump is his authenticity, his “what you see is what you get” earnestness; his ability and willingness to speak without teleprompters, handlers, advisers or focus group screenings. The ENQUIRER...

Some of the most strident opponents of the nuclear accord with Iran are invoking memories of the Holocaust in an effort to defeat the agreement, arguing the deal could enhance Iran’s ability to build a bomb, leading to the destruction of Israel. Those arguments, however, failed to sway two senators who grew up hearing stories of the Holocaust firsthand, despite fierce opposition to the deal from Israeli leaders and some Jewish groups. “My parents told me at a young age what it was like to live in fear,” said Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore. “For German Jews, the fear was always...

Some people are of the unfortunate opinion that the John Birch Society is militantly patriotic and a supporter of this nation's military. That is not the case, especially not now. The JBS always was a front group for the European right wing and our own domestic Jew-haters. It was the "blue lodge" for recruiting decent conservatives and, by exposing them a little bit at a time to the classic anti-Jewish line, to eventually recruit them into the anti-Semitic movement proper. But at least when I was a member some thirty years ago the Society's publications didn't openly take potshots at...

NEW YORK - A federal judge said Swiss banks are trying to "delay justice and prevent access to the truth" in their arguments to limit access to information about Holocaust victims' bank accounts during the Nazi era. Actions by the banks "bring to mind the theory that if you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it," Judge Edward Korman of U.S. District Court in Brooklyn wrote in a decision released Thursday. In the decision, reported in Saturday's editions of The New York Times, Korman wrote, "The 'big lie' for the Swiss...
