Ok, last time I tried this very few were interested, perhaps we can do a better job this time. MoveOn.org is conducting nationwide "protests" against the Bush troop surge tomorrow, Thursday the 11th. One of these will be across from the Lafayette, CA BART station, at a hillside where a bunch of leftists have placed hundreds of crosses as a protest against the war in Iraq. Would like to corresond with anyone who wants to counter protest. I can be responded to at news@pipelinenews.org Not sure what else to include except the observation that the left can always turn dozens...

Bill Would Remove Grounds for Impeachment, Bush Critics Suggest By Susan Jones CNSNews.com Senior Editor September 19, 2006 (CNSNews.com) - A bill now pending in the Senate would make the Bush administration's enemy wiretapping program more practical and flexible, removing all doubt about its legality. But that worries some of Bush's fiercest critics. According to one anti-Bush group, the bill "would pardon President Bush for breaking the law by illegally wiretapping innocent Americans without warrants." MoveOn.org's political action committee has accused Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) of caving in to pressure when he introduced a bill that "justifies everything the president...

Moveon has sent out the following e-mail: Dear MoveOn member, It was like a starter's pistol went off. Ned Lamont wins and the next day Republicans are politicizing a terror threat with outrageous comments. Dick Cheney even said Connecticut voters were supporting Al Qaeda.1 They can't get away with that and, with voters angry about Katrina and Iraq, we can expose Republican posturing on security if we hit back hard. This week newspapers will print letters to the editor about last week's terror threat. If thousands of us write letters we can remind the public that five years after 9/11...

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) -- Other than the candidates themselves, no one has more riding on today's Connecticut Democratic Senate primary than MoveOn.org, a liberal organization at the edgy intersection of politics and the Internet.     With a victory for Ned Lamont, the group can claim a role in helping an anti-war challenger dump Sen. Joe Lieberman, who supports President Bush's policy in Iraq and has the backing of Democratic Party leaders, including former President Bill Clinton.     A come-from-behind win for Mr. Lieberman would mark yet another setback for MoveOn in its parallel campaign -- to strengthen its credentials as a force...
