The National Pulse can reveal the Black Lives Matter website – the organization spearheading nationwide “defund the police” campaigns – is partnered with ActBlue, a Democrat fundraising platform that is the top donor to Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, responsible for raising nearly 99.64 percent of the Biden for President effort. While the Biden campaign insists it doesn’t support efforts to defund the police, it may happily profit from Black Lives Matter (BLM) efforts, and is complicit in taking money from an organization partnered with those spearheading the dangerous policy that has already taken root in Minneapolis, New York, and...

Governor Newsom is behind in the Most Loathsome Governor in America race, largely because he hasn't managed to kill as many nursing home residents as rivals like Cuomo and Murphy. But here he is trying to take first responders hostage. California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) told CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday that the federal government has a "moral obligation" to provide funding for states in its next coronavirus relief bill, noting that police officers, health care workers and firefighters will be the first ones laid off as a result of massive budget deficits. Really?Cops and firefighters are the most...

All the happy-story analogies to past pandemics being mere bumps in the road miss the mark. A popular claim is that the 1918-1919 flu pandemic killed millions but no biggie, the Roaring 20s started the following year. It's onward and upward, baby, once we toss the masks. Wrong. Completely, totally, dead wrong. The drivers of the past 75 years of growth-- globalization and financialization--are dead, and so is everything that depended on them for "growth". (Growth is in quotes because once external costs and currency arbitrage are factored in, most of what's been glorified as "growth" is nothing but losses...

The worst part about spending $6 trillion or more on coronavirus recovery isn't what's in it. The worst part is what happens if it doesn't destroy us. (snip) --- The issue of our constitutional rights being suppressed is a huge one, but it’s not the biggest. I know what you’re thinking… “How can you say it’s not the biggest?!?!?!” Don’t get me wrong. It’s definitely huge. But it’s not nearly as destructive to the United States of America as the little-known consequence of all of these bailout bills, including the proposed $3 trillion bill Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi...

Keep an eye out for a shiny new quarter with a raised image of fruit bats and be careful not to let the coin fly out of your wallet or pocket. As part of the U.S. Mint's America the Beautiful Quarters Program, the new National Parks quarter dollar celebrates American Samoa and on the relief features a mother fruit bat and her pup hanging upside down.

Everybody wants a baseball season. Nobody knows quite how that will look amid the coronavirus pandemic. Those are the only certainties for a sport that has an unbroken chain of seasons with at least 100 games stretching back to the 19th century. But as more and more hopeful hints have emerged this week — from Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the nation’s leading expert on infectious diseases, and from Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo of New York, who both publicly touted the feasibility of playing in empty ballparks — a distressing backdrop still looms: If teams cannot sell tickets, how much will...

Old enough to drive a car? Then you would be old enough to receive $2,000 a month under a plan introduced this week by two Democratic lawmakers in the House of Representatives. Under the Emergency Money for the People Act, US citizens who are 16 or older — and make less than $130,000 a year — would receive cash payments from the federal government for at least six months and until unemployment falls to pre-pandemic levels. The bill was introduced Tuesday by Rep. Tim Ryan, a former presidential candidate associated with the moderate wing of the Democratic Party, and Rep....

I'm like most Freepers, I work, still have a job for now, and I save money to a 401k, IRA. My money is still right where it is when this current crash started, but a lot less of it. The US debt is out of control and with these corona virus mega spending bills there is no way that the US will ever come out of debt. One day, the US economy will in fact crash from this mounting debt, it's inevitable given we are not deviating from our path. And when it all comes down it will make the...

Most Americans can expect to get a cash payment of over $1,000 as part of the heaping $2 trillion coronavirus relief bill President Donald Trump signed on Friday to stimulate the faltering economy. The nonpartisan Tax Policy Center estimates that the free money will go to about 90% of U.S. households to help ease some of their financial pain from the pandemic, which has caused massive business shutdowns and layoffs and is making it tough for people to pay their rent, mortgages and other bills. When will I get my stimulus check? Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin has indicated taxpayers should...

American hedge fund boss Bill Ackman has made $2.6 billion by betting against the markets just days after stoking fears by saying 'hell is coming' and begging President Donald Trump to shut down the country amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Pershing Square Capital Management hedge fund manager said his firm had made $2.6billion from a one-off bet that the coronavirus outbreak would cause a global market crash. His firm seized upon bond market turmoil during the coronavirus crisis in buying 'credit protection on various global investment grade and high-yield credit indices'.

The Trump administration is slashing $1 billion in assistance to Afghanistan and threatening further reductions in all forms of cooperation after the country’s rival leaders failed to agree on forming a new government. The announcement came from Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday after he made an unannounced visit to Kabul to meet with Ashraf Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah, the rival Afghan politicians who have each declared themselves president of the country after disputed elections last year. In an unusually harsh statement, Pompeo slammed the two men for being unable to work together and threatening a potential peace deal...

Too much taxpayer money is being wasted on unworthy and unnecessary causes and organizations which bring little or no benefit to the American people. What's more, once the funding has left the Treasury, there is little accountability for how it is spent, leaving the door wide open for fraud and corruption. The current crisis gives us a great opportunity to stanch the flow of funding to causes, groups, and organizations that at best are useless to the American public, and at worst are bringing irreparable harm to our society and our economy. Let us put an end to taxpayer funding...
