There are a lot of folks who can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in America. Well, there's a very simple answer. Nobody bothered to check the oil. We just didn't know we were getting low. The reason for that is purely geographical. All our oil is in Alaska, Texas, California, and Oklahoma. All our dipsticks are in Washington, DC.

According to court records, four witnesses said "Randall lured subjects to his residence via the Internet for the purpose of sex and once they were at his residence he would get them high" with drugs. The report also said Randall had a sex harness in the garage and "once the subjects were in the harness, Randall and other participants would have sex with them and videotape them."Then, "Randall would inject the subjects with the syringes of tainted blood." A good reason to support the death penalty ?

  • A Cultural Literary And Arts Renaissance. The Young Shall Rebel Against The Pomo-Boomer Decline

    01/28/2004 7:14:03 AM PST · by drakeraft · 1 replies · 60+ views
So many have grown accustomed to defining rebellion as agreeing with aging marketing executives. We're all familiar with abortions, and cynicism, and divorce, and the duplicitous artistic lies that the secular boomers excuse as mere irony--what yesterday would have been a moral atrocity is today commonly accepted when it is not honored and revered. The leaders of Silicon Valley are blind to vast wealth to be made by passing eternity's judgement, and thus the wealth shall belong to those on Poetry Mountain. The postmodernists often sanctify decline by allowing and encouraging women to participate in it--pure politics and base profiteering...

High Plains Writers Thomas Newton and Dr. Elliot McGucken were published in the Wall Street Journal. Classicals & jollyroger.com LLC recently published Thomas Newton's first book of poetry entitled THE CONSERVATIVE REBELLION, containing his poems published in the WSJ. Dr. Elliot's poem "In the Name of Freedom" may be found in the book ETERNITY IN A GRAIN OF SAND. And here's "In the Name of Freedom" by Elliot McGuken: The night fell fast, I found myself alone, A D.C. summer storm was blowing...

JOLLYROGER.COM NAVIGATING AN AMERICAN RENAISSANCE CAPTAIN DRAKE RAFT ADMIRAL BECKET KNOTTINGHAM CAPTAIN ELLIOT MCGUCKEN This is the legend of three sonneteers, Who stood tall, they stood tall like three tall masts, Learned courage in the shadows of their fears, And sailed forth for the poetry that lasts. The critic’s great black cannons blazed away, The air filled with postmodern fog and smoke, As their tall ship faded into the gray, And the sun set and the darkness awoke. The tyrants’ cannons thundered through the night, But flying iron can’t halt changing tides, And when they let up in the morning...

The case centers on Trevor Richards, a junior at Westside High School, who moved from Johannesburg to Nebraska six years ago. Richards and his classmates, 16-year-old twins Paul and Scott Rambo, were booted from classes last week after distributing posters touting Trevor as a candidate for Westside High's "Distinguished African-American Student" award on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

A new congressional redistricting plan for Texas, designed to eliminate several powerful Democratic incumbents, took a giant step toward reality this week. The Republican steamroller driven by House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, R-Sugarland, continues to make its trek toward this year's elections by destroying practically everything in its path, including communities of interest, rural voting strength and any semblance of minority political power. Also decimated along the way, as three divisive special legislative sessions were called by the governor on this issue, were common courtesy, professional respect and the tradition of bipartisan cooperation in the Texas Senate. But so what?...

The Bush administration has won a major political victory: the biggest expansion of Medicare in the 38-year history of that jewel of the Great Society. The details are complex; the cost will be staggering — ultimately, trillions of dollars. This is not only a victory over the Democrats, but a triumph over any principled conservatives who remain in the Republican Party. The GOP leadership in Congress steamrollered those who have supported Bush in the hope and belief that he stood for a return to limited and constitutional government. President Bush, to put it briefly, has finally removed his conservative mask....

COLUMN MONDAY, DECEMBER 01, 2003 The McKinney Questions By ELLIOTT MARTON REED Imagine walking past M-c-K-i-n-n-e-y on Ho Plaza, asking "Hi. Isn't the weather great here?" Her response: "Yes. Bush did steal the election, because as MLK said… so in conclusion, I always fought for blacks in Florida while in Congress." As the second person to pose questions at her "What Kind of America" speech on Nov. 19, I swear this is basically all her standard response entails. Don't professors answer questions in good faith? Real ones do. If I were a less reserved and conservative individual, I would...
