WASHINGTON, March 29 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The Punk Voter movement is finally hitting the road. No more talkin' the talk, we're rockin' rock." Stated Fat Mike (Burkett) of punk band NOFX and founder of Punkvoter.com, as he loaded up the tour buses and hitting the trail today.
NOFX will be joined by Alkaline Trio, Authority Zero and Jello Biafra on the first Rock Against Bush Tour that will cover Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona and Nevada. This is just the first of many Punk Voter tours to take place throughout America; other bands like Bouncing Souls, Avail, and Strike Anywhere also plan to Rock Against Bush in 2004.
Fat Mike has organized over 200 punk musicians, dozens of independent record labels and tens of thousands of punk fans. This movement of Punk Voters, has united to voice their outrage against the Bush Administration.
The tour is sponsored by Music for America, another political not-for-profit voter-education organization that will be registering and mobilizing young voters to take action in 2004. Franz Hart, co-founder of Music For America stated, "we are excited to be partnering with Punkvoter on the Rock Against Bush Tour, enabling punks to take further action when so much is at stake."
We'll be registering voters, educating punks on political issues that directly affect their lives, recruiting new punk voters and spreading the movement in each city the tour hits." Molly Lewis, Music for America Executive Director stated.
The tour will also be handing out copies of the DVD, "Uncovered." This is the Robert Greenwald documentary film about CIA officials, State Department officials and UN weapons inspectors uncovering the truth about how much the Bush Administration knew about weapons of mass destruction before going to war with Iraq.
Greenwald stated, "The CIA and punk voters together are an unstoppable combination! I am thrilled to work with punkvoter.com to get a message of truth out." He continued, "The punk questioning of authority is the perfect mindset to see UNCOVERED and I look forward to a dialogue with all of the Punk Voters around this critical issue of democracy, truth and war."
Look for Punkvoter.com to be working with local progressive organizations to get more and more punk rock fans enraged and engaged in the days ahead during this Rock Against Bush tour.

I'm beginning to see a trend: Immature people for Kerry, mature folks for Bush.
I'm assailed daily at my school for being a conservative Bush supporter, and I'm constantly impressed by the horrific gullibility of today's youth (make that...MOST of today's youth).
Unfortunately, kids are going to go to these concerts and be indoctrinated by the terrible Democratic propaganda machine, and be turned into the useless lib zombies we find daily at universities across the world.
Like
this fool. Yikes.

This is great. I think the broadcast networks should carry this. Especially the ones with metal stuck in all the holes in their faces.
Shine the light of day on all of it.
When ABCNBCCBSCNN cover liberal events, I've noticed they have to use very careful editing. They wouldn't want it to come out that these people are all slightly? strange. And of course they have to blip indecent words every two minutes.

Kerry is going for the nihilist vote, and has just about locked up the too-stoned-for-linear-thinking-vote. If he can go on to corner the arrested-but-not-yet-convicted-vote, he's got it.

For an opposing punk view of W, see James Hirsen's NewsMax article,

Between the punksters and the Log Cabiners, the Big Tent looks more like a Three-Ring Circus every day.

We need the Country Stars to do a tour for GWB and The Troops...it will out sell those punk-skunks 10:1...and influence actual voters, not just the whiners on the sidelines!

It would be funny except for the fact that if the punksters in Seattle are anything like the ones that protested during the 2000 election - there will be alot of violence there. Liberal democreeps are very much into violent confrontations now. They should never be called peaceniks ever again. That word doesn't fit them anymore.
