During today’s Morning Joe discussion of what was described as a “rambling,” contradictory, Fox News interview with Rudy Giuliani regarding meetings by Trump campaign staff with Russians, Mike Barnicle seemed to suggest that Giuliani might have been drunk. After airing a clip of Giuliani, Joe Scarborough asks, “what’s he saying?”, Barnicle replies, “another round,” and Scarborough adds “my drinks are free.” A bit later, Barnicle says: “What time of night was he interviewed for that? Last summer when Donald Trump announced he was running for the GOP presidential nomination, few, if any, political pundits were willing to give him a chance. Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski, however, was willing to stick her neck out and buck conventional wisdom, saying Trump should not be underestimated and she predicted he may very well end up as the GOP nominee. Introducing a clip of Clinton [dressed like a lumberjack] attacking Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire, Mika Brzezinski said the ex-prez had picked up the "hatchet"--not a good image for a would-be statesman.
