Menswear retailer Tailored Brands Inc. TLRD, -21.23%, the parent company of Men's Wearhouse and Jos. A. Banks, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Sunday, the Wall Street Journal reported. The clothier has been hit hard by pandemic-related store shutdowns, reporting last month that first-quarter sales were down 60%. Since July 1, Tailored Brands has missed missed interest payments on bonds, slashed its corporate workforce by 20%, announced plans to close up to 500 stores and was notified that it will be delisted by the New York Stock Exchange. After retailer Men's Wearhouse [NYSE: MW] announced that it "terminated" founder and executive chairman George Zimmer, best known to consumers for his hundreds of TV commercials pitching suits, he fired back saying the company's board "has inappropriately chosen to silence my concerns."

Men's Wearhouse executive chairman George Zimmer has been "terminated," the clothing retailer said on Wednesday. Zimmer opened the company's first store in Houston in 1973. He's been the bearded face of Men's Wearhouse (MW) in television ads for years, famously promising men "You're going to like the way you look. I guarantee it."

A friend of mine decided to let the Men’s Wearhouse know how he feels about their support of the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement. He returned a bag full of suits that he had purchased from them and captured the entire episode on video (see below).
