One of the world's most notorious spammers has settled lawsuits with the state of Texas and Microsoft Corp that cost him at least $1 million, took away most of his assets and forced him to stop sending the nuisance e-mails. Ryan Pitylak, 24, who graduated from the University of Texas last month, has admitted sending 25 million e-mails every day at the height of his spamming operation in 2004. A loaded smuggling vehicle collided with a large pickup Thursday morning, sending 13 suspected illegal aliens to the hospital. A St. Charles woman infected with HIV was arraigned Tuesday afternoon at the St. Charles County Jail as police continued to seek the woman's sex partners, which could number 100, said her mother. Angela D. Harris, 26, is charged with having unprotected sex with her 42-year-old boyfriend, but detectives believe many people may be at risk based on statements made by Harris' mother, Cathy Lenceski.
