    Michael Mantenuto was hospitalized for depression in 2015 and had a history of mental health problems dating back to the time before he started acting, DailyMail.com can reveal. The married father-of-two also transferred out of the Special Forces K-9 Unit shortly before his death, telling one friend that 'I need to get my life together and I couldn't do it by doing that'. Mantenuto, an actor who starred in the Disney film Miracle before joining the Special Forces in 2013, was found dead in his car in Des Moines, Washington, on April 24.

    Michael Mantenuto died on Monday at the age of 35. The former Disney star shot himself while sitting in his car in Des Moines, Washington, according to police. The actor and avid hockey player was best known for the 2004 Disney movie Miracle costarring Kurt Russell about the U. Men's Olympic hockey team that went on to win the gold medal in the 1980 Winter Olympics. Mantenuto played Jack O'Callahan.
