This weekend you can catch a preview of what the next four years of mainstream media coverage of the Trump presidency will look like by checking in at the Boston Globe. They’ve decided to run an op-ed piece penned by John Shattuck, a professor at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Clearly not wanting to pull any punches or inject a level of nuance into the discussion, the title blares out at us, Donald Trump raises specter of treason. SEE ALSO: Sunday morning talking heads Yes, you read that correctly. It’s still more than a month before the PEOTUS...

Well, it appears no Electors are defecting from the Republican side, so Monday should be uneventful. However, I have learned not to underestimate the divorce-from-reality, the utter INSANITY of the Loony Left. Seeing how the liberals have thrown EVERYTHING against the wall this election: She lost because of "fake news"! Jill Stein will recount Hillary into office! The Russians hacked the election, so we need a new one! The Electors won't vote for Trump on Monday! The FBI threw the election for Trump! I hereby formally predict the next one: Congress does not have to approve the Elector's selection! Stall the...

A campaign initiated by the National Association for Bilingual Education and the Santa Clara County Office of Education says a teacher who mispronounces a student’s name is causing a negative emotional state that can lead to poor academic success. The campaign, titled “My Name, My Identity: A Declaration of Self,” says “Did you know that mispronouncing a student’s name negates the identity of the student? This can lead to anxiety and resentment which can hinder academic progress.” Rita Kohli, an assistant professor of education at the University of California at Riverside, told NEA Today – the publication of the National...

Over the weekend, Donald Trump’s son and one of his closest advisers posted an odd photo on their social media accounts: This raised some important questions. Why is there a frog standing directly behind Trump? That’s Pepe. He’s a symbol associated with white supremacy. Wait. Really? White supremacy? That’s right. Please explain. Here’s the short version: Pepe is a cartoon frog who began his internet life as an innocent meme enjoyed by teenagers and pop stars alike. But in recent months, Pepe’s been almost entirely co-opted by the white supremacists who call themselves the “alt-right.” They’ve decided to take back...

Last week, millions of Facebook users gave their profile pictures a rainbow makeover to celebrate the double Pride/Supreme Court same-sex marriage ruling but an unpleasant backlash has begun. The translucent rainbow tool was laid on by Facebook itself, but a number of third-party apps are now offering an American flag equivalent to people opposed to gay marriage and equality in general.

I stumbled across this website and just had to share it with my fellow FReepers. Back in the late 1980's I saw a documentary that scared the bubbles out of me. In this documentary, I was informed that, by the year 2000, more than half of humanity would be dead and the rest would be roasting and starving in a Mad Max type desert. Before that, I was told that we'd be freezing and that glaciers would reach all the way to Mississippi. Over the years, I've become immune to these predictions and I've learned to take such things with...

Lawmakers have failed in past attempts to rename North America’s highest mountain, but a new proposal may have a better chance this year under a Republican Congress, according to an aide to an Alaska lawmaker who is resurrecting the effort. U.S. Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan have introduced a bill to give Mount McKinley its historical Alaska Native name. The Alaska Republicans announced a Senate bill Wednesday to formally call the 20,320-foot mountain by its Athabascan name, Denali, KTUU reported. The bill comes after previous efforts by Murkowski failed. …

COLUMBIA, SC — Drummers from the Columbia Drum Circle began beating rhythms that reverberated Sunday over the bustling of Gervais and Main streets, while nearby children made instruments out of recycled materials and got their faces painted. A crowd from the community and local civic groups gathered Sunday afternoon on the State House steps for the inaugural “Peace Day at the State House” rally sponsored by the Carolina Peace Resource Center. Lizzie Utset, an intern with the peace center who organized the event, said it was hard work bringing all of the groups and people together from Columbia to Charleston...

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Annual Breakfast in Wilmington, Delaware. Rather than rejecting his hate speech the crowd gave him a standing ovation.: (VIDEO-AT-LINK)The crowd loved it and gave him a standing ovation. MSNBC weekend host Melissa Harris-Perry lined up a panel of alleged comedians to mock the Christmas picture Mitt Romney posted on Twitter. In a segment with the on-screen question "What's So Funny About 2013?" Harris-Perry announced: “This is the Romney family. And, of course, there on Governor Romney’s knee is his adopted grandson, who is an African-American, an adopted African-American child, Kieran Romney.†To which comedian and actress Pia Glenn sang the old Sesame Street ditty “One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just isn’t the same … “And that little baby, front and...

Charlie Sheen is giving voice to the voice-less in a raging Twitter rant addressing “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson, who’s in the middle of a controversy over anti-gay and racial comments made during an interview with GQ magazine. No stranger to being in the middle of a media firestorm himself, Sheen shows no mercy for Robertson in a very angry missive posted to Twitter on Saturday. “You have offended and hurt so many dear friends of mine, who DO NOT have the voice or the outreach that I do,” FX’s “Anger Management” star said. “Well, news flash shower-dodger, I will...

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) on Wednesday afternoon urged people to turn in their guns, arguing it would be an appropriate response to last week's mass shooting in Newtown, Conn. "I would personally just say to those who are listening, maybe you want to turn in your guns," Jackson Lee said on the House floor. "Oh no, I'm not going to take your guns. But look at what Dick's Sporting Goods did ... they wanted to be part of the solution and part of America."

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: I made mention of something at the end of yesterday's program. You may not have heard it. Howard Fineman. He's always been at Newsweek, for as long as I've been doing this, Howard Fineman's been at Newsweek, but he's not a Newsweek anymore. He's now over at the Huffing and Puffington Post. And he occasionally still has his guest shot over there at MSNBC. Now, Howard Fineman once came in and did a week-long tag-along with me as he was writing a cover story on me for Newsweek in the mid-nineties. And then on Thursday of that...

You just knew he'd be in the running. Mike Malloy, a left-winger so unhinged he was given the boot by Air America Radio, has uncorked a rant unsettling even for him. Bill Press: He may have been drunk when he wrote the column below, but I don't think he can plead diminished capacity when he is convicted for violating the Law of Unintended Consequences. James Holmes, the suspect arrested in connection with the mass shootings at a screening of the new Batman movie early this morning in Aurora, CO, could be a registered Democrat, according to documents obtained by Breitbart News. Earlier, ABC News' Brian Ross and George Stephanopoulos speculated on Good Morning America that Holmes was a Tea Party member, based solely on a name appearing on a Tea Party website. The James Holmes for whom Breitbart News has obtained documentation is 25 years old (the suspect has been reported as 24 years old). He has links to addresses in both Colorado and...

MIC CHECK! Citizens of Walmart!! Greetings and welcome back from the food coma!! In the spirit of holiday giving, we believe a discussion is in order about the meaning of value and low cost. For every low-priced product purchased at Walmart, your communities pay the difference. Every price drop represents mistreated workers who STILL cannot feed their families, STILL cannot afford their homes, and STILL cannot payoff their tuitions. Every sweet deal can be attributed to our jobs being outsourced from American communities. Each item on sale helps bankrupt small businesses. YOU, YOUR COMMUNITIES, AND YOUR WORKERS ARE BEING ABUSED!! Walmart intentionally underemploys, forgoing REAL benefits for social services, costing California taxpayers $86 million annually. Walmart employees are overworked, underpaid, and left under-insured in poor and unsafe conditions. Walmart could fire its employees for the mere mention of forming a workers union; which is the best tool American workers have to protect their rights. Corporate beasts such as this one bleed our communities dry by putting the local business owners, who actually have personal stake in your communities, at a disadvantage against these gluttonous juggernauts. Yet they have the nerve to tell you it's for your benefit. WE DO NOT HAVE TO BUY THE SCAM!! WE DO NOT HAVE TO BUY DOLLAR-COLLARS FOR OUR FAMILIES!! WE DO NOT HAVE TO BUY ANY OF THIS!! SELF-MADE GIFTS HAVE MORE POWER ANYWAY!! So this holiday season, give yourselves, your families, and your communities the gift of empowerment!! ACT LOCALLY!! SHOP SMALL BUSINESS!! BUY AMERICAN!! Thank you, Exit Safely, and remember to smile...
