A FORMER deputy chief of staff to New York Governor Kathy Hochul has been arrested by federal authorities. Linda Sun, 40, and her husband, Chris Hu, 41, were arrested on Tuesday morning at their home in Manhasset on Long Island, New York. Details of the charges Sun and Hu face have not been made public. The couple are expected to appear in Brooklyn Federal Court on Tuesday, according to NBC affiliate WNBC.

State troopers are set to announce charges against a Long Island mom for allegedly killing her 9-year-old son in a wrong-way crash while under the influence early Thursday. Human remains were found behind a Long Island home improvement store Tuesday afternoon, officials said. The grisly discovery was made after cops received a 911 call for a possible body found in a wooded area behind Lowe’s at 700 Dibblee Drive in Garden City at 2:19 p.m., according to Nassau County Police. When police arrived at the scene, they found the human remains near an abandoned encampment, according to cops. The cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s office, authorities said.

A former aide to Gov. Kathy Hochul reportedly had her $3.5 million Long Island home raided by the FBI early Tuesday.
