Kamala Harris has just scored a hat trick of buffoonery. While we are accustomed to her embarrassing herself virtually every time speaks extemporaneously, her verbal tomfoolery may be keeping pace with the accelerating dementia of her boss, Joe Biden. We’ll start with an outright lie, committed during an interview with Esme Murphy of WCCO-TV in Minneapolis. (Powerline readers are familiar with Ms. Murphy’s awkward relationship with the truth.)

This past Wednesday morning, Donny Deutsch, a frequent guest on MSNBC and a former program host, claimed that there was “‘no difference’ between President Donald Trump’s rhetoric and what ‘Adolf Hitler preached’ in Germany in the 1930s.” He added, “And we’re here and what is the difference between Adolph Hitler and Donald Trump? I’m not saying there is a Holocaust but when you look at the tactics, that is where we are right now.” This is as outrageous as it is ignorant, and Deutsch needs to be called on the carpet for his ugly and inflammatory comments. As stated by...

1) P_resident Obama's own Department of Justice completed a six-year study on college rape, and it turns out that instead of 1-in-5 college coeds being raped, the figure is 0.03-in-5. Less than 1 percent of college students are the victim of a sexual assault -- 0.6 percent to be exact -- not to be confused with the 20 percent, or "one in five," claimed by feminists and President Obama. -- Ann Coulter2) In Â’92, the general sense was that New York was rotting from the inside. Now, crime feels like the exception rather than the rule. The city is the...

The Left, including its mainstream-news sources, are alleging that Palin, as governor of Alaska, “slashed” funding for Special Olympics — as well as a myriad of other notable charitable causes — from the Alaska budget. The strategy is to frame Palin as a hypocrite, one who chose life for her own son, and claims to support government funding for special-needs programs, but as a state official worked to do just the opposite. As far as we can tell, the Special Olympics claim was first made in the September 6 edition of the bible of the Left, the New York Times,...

The New York Times Editorial Says Foreign Intelligence Services Did Not Support American Intelligence. "Foreign intelligence services did not have full access to American intelligence. But some had dissenting opinions that were ignored or not shown to top American officials." (Editorial, "Decoding Mr. Bush's Denials," The New York Times, 11/15/05) But Even Foreign Governments That Opposed The Removal Of Saddam Hussein Judged That Iraq Had Weapons Of Mass Destruction (WMD). * French Foreign Minister Dominique De Villepin: "Right Now, Our Attention Has To Be Focused As A Priority On The Biological And Chemical Domains. It Is There That Our Presumptions...

I've criticized Chris Matthews several times this week, so it's only fair that I give him credit for doing the right thing tonight when liberal Mark Green went off on how corrupt the Bush administration is and started ticking off indictments: MATTHEWS: Can you name a conviction, Mark? GREEN: Hold it, hold it. What I said was — MATTHEWS: Can you name a conviction? GREEN: One second. What I said was that six people — three people have been indicted — by the way Chris, if you and I have been indicted, it doesn't mean we're guilty, but we wouldn't...

Speaking Ill of the Dead--The Media Treatment of Nick Berg and Pat TillmanPosted by Doc Farmer Wednesday, May 19, 2004 My column last week was written before the news about the horrific slaughter of Nick Berg, an innocent American contractor. I had commented on the stupidity and cowardice of the mainstream (see also: lib/dem/soc/commie) media, their fear of us doing anything remotely discomforting in this, or any, war. However, Mr. Berg’s tragic demise brought into focus the true problem of the media. Their complicity with the enemies of America. I’ve seen the video. I made a point to watch it....

Consortium News, a left tilting weblog with no love of George Bush, has just published confirmation of the left's view that George Bush and the "Empire" he represents are evil. This confirmation may not be news to many on the right, but the editorial, Bush's Alderaan, written by Robert Perry, is shocking in that it so forthrightly details the left's beliefs about Bush and what the left believes Bush represents - The (evil) Empire. It is a long stretch to suggest that Iraq is akin to Star Wars' peaceful planet Alderaan? Yet, that is exactly the comparison Consortium News would...

The Daley Generation started out 36,000 strong. They began first grade in a Chicago public school eight years ago, just after Mayor Daley won control of the school system, and today should be among the best students in decades. Since 1995, they've ridden a wave of new resources, new expertise, and a new enthusiasm--all under the watchful eye of a mayor who's staked his political reputation on their progress. For those who made it through eighth grade after eight years in the city's public schools, the results are impressive. Six out of 10 started out below the national norm in...
