I really am worried about this website. Don't you all see that this is exactly what Satan wants? All of us to say absolutley terrible things about this guy? I really think he should suffer the consequesnces for what he has done, and I hope that the victim can come out of this with a lot of help from Christian counseling so he can make others more aware of the problem, but what I feel we should all be doing as Christians is prayng for Larry Lance Carlton. He is obviously very troubled and maybe even possesed. The hope is...

  • Communism and human nature (Bolshie Mod sez, Arise ye kittens of the earth!)

    04/05/2005 10:50:57 AM PDT · by Sammy sam · 153 replies · 8,234+ views
Many argue that communism will never be possible because of "human nature". The essence of this false argument is the belief that a communist society would consist of an all-powerful central government that would tell everybody what to do--and would therefore undermine the creative initiative of individuals and the search for happiness. • This argument is based on two false assumptions: (1) It assumes that a communist society will look like the former Soviet Union, or the current China, North Korea, etc (ie: corrupt police states with a feudal-style ruling class) (2) It assumes that people will only work in...

Interesting how Nobody seems to recall THAT BUSH AND HINCKLEY HAD DINNER PLANS THAT NIGHT He is currently undergoing emergency surgery at George Washington University Hospital but there are unconfirmed reports he walked in unaided. Initial reports claim he may have a punctured lung. Five to six shots were fired as he left the Washington Hilton Hotel where he had been addressing a union convention, about one mile from the White House. A man, firing at close range, also wounded White House Press Secretary James Brady in the head. A Secret Service official and a Washington policeman were also injured...

I work for the Bank Group and this is a disastrous appointment - one of the worst in a long series of bad appointments and a new low, even for Bush. Even though the Bush cabal telegraphed their intent several weeks ago I kept hoping that it was a feint or a ruse. I should have known better. He wants to run the Bank into the ground as he did with all his other business enterprises and as he is doing to the US. I truly fear for the US now in a way I never have before - heck...

I decided to change my ways. After a lot of soul searching, I've realized that the GOP does not have my best interests in mind. I can no longer support an administration and a party that cannot look beyond the immediate future and see the long-term consequences of their actions. I've thought about where this administration's policies will leave me and my future family in 30, 40, 50 years....and I do not like the picture. I never thought I would say this, but I'm turning blue. While some of you may call me a jackass, I am now proud to...

Replete with esoteric symbols, conspiracy research certainly warrants semiotic examination. Although fraught with historical flaws and theological distortions, The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown acknowledges the value of semiotics in studying the conspiratorial world. In fact, the novel’s central character is a semiotician specializing in symbology. Evidently, Brown recognized the potential of semiotics in analyzing the coded messages of cabals occupying history’s darker corners. September 11th is one such corner that is worth semiotic analysis. Numerous researchers like Michael Ruppert and Dennis Cuddy have done an excellent job compiling the evidence of government complicity in 9-11. Recapitulating their arguments...

“As we here at home contemplate our own duties, our own responsibilities, let us think and think hard of the example which is being set for us by our fighting men. Our soldiers and sailors are members of well-disciplined units. But they're still and forever individuals, free individuals. They are farmers and workers, businessmen, professional men, artists, clerks. They are the United States of America. That is why they fight. We too are the United States of America. That is why we must work and sacrifice. It is for them. It is for us. It is for victory.” -- Franklin...
  • WHY IS U.S. IMMIGRATION TERRORISING BRITISH REPORTERS?

Last week a British reporter was detained by immigration officials and then expelled from the United States for traveling here without knowing that the visa rules had changed. More precisely, she didn't know that a decades-old unenforced rule was suddenly being enforced against friendly tourists long accustomed to entering the country without a visa at all. Elena Lappin, a freelance journalist from the United Kingdom (who has written for Slate), was stopped at Los Angeles International Airport, subjected to a body search, handcuffed, frog-marched through the airport, and then held in a cell at a detention center overnight—all because she...

I'm not sure I understand why awards are necessary, and having won and lost my share in the past, I'm certain those who are nominated aren't quite sure either. Award ceremonies themselves are excruciating affairs where you try to act as normal as possible while your stomach flips in circles and your mind tries to rectify the banality of it all: Does this define me? Am I more than a list of accomplishments? At the end of the night, invariably, the answer to both is, God, I hope so. All of which is why I've chosen not to notify the...

I have been writing to numerous people ever since September 11, 2001. That event changed me. Before September 11, 2001 I assumed our government knew what it was doing in the world and I never questioned anything it did, but after September 11, 2001 i started to think ,why would anybody hate us so much as to try to kill as many Americans as possible. My quest for the truth lead me to one very sobering conclusion.........our policies, even before our independence in 1776, has gradually created a world in which we do not realize what people around the world...

Please distribute this, make a pamphlet out of it, e-mail it, whatever. It took REALLY long to transcribe. Well I’ll say a few words about Iraq. But then I’ll turn to more background issues, continuing issues that fly beyond what’s going on now. Actually, we get lots of reports from Iraq, but they’re very narrow in their character. Almost entirely, they come from inside the ‘green zone,’ the carefully protected...

I live in a battleground state and I am thinking of voting for Kerry. Sure Bush is tough on the war on terror, but I don't think circumstances will allow President Kerry to be any less tough. Also, with the GOP keeping Congress, I think a divided government will be good fiscally, as Bush ddoes not seem to be able to control runaway spending with his own people in Congress. A divided government will really help to limit the size of government. What do you think, Bush or Kerry?
