March 17, 2006, 2:27 PM EST HARTFORD — Chief Justice William J. Sullivan plans to retire next month, ending a five-year term leading Connecticut's highest court. Gov. M. Jodi Rell said that Sullivan, 67, will take "senior status" on the high court bench and that she will nominate Associate Justice Peter T. Zarella to succeed him.
