This is GOOOOOOOD! And it isn't even the first time Fallon went after Obamacare.

Maybe Jimmy Fallon really does want to follow Jay Leno’s tradition of full-political-spectrum comedy. Earlier this week, Fallon ripped Barack Obama for his victory lap on ObamaCare, and last night he invited Sarah Palin to join him in this four-minute mockfest of Obama’s foreign-policy acumen. Palin is a good sport here, joking about the unusual names of her children at one point, but the subtext throughout this is that Palin was smart enough to see through Vladimir Putin — and Obama wasn’t. “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon had some tough words for ObamaCare following the deadline for people to sign up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon continues to handily dominate late-night in overall audience, weeks after he replaced Jay Leno as host, last week clocking 4.26 million viewers to Jimmy Kimmel Live‘s 2.83 million on ABC and David Letterman’s 2.78 million on CBS. In the demo, Fallon (1.32/6) beat Kimmel and Dave combined (0.76/3 and 0.55/2, respectively). Fallon hung on to 99% of his previous week’s demo and was up 81% compared to same week last year when Leno was hosting and was No. 1 and doing just fine in the ratings. That’s good news for Tonight Show as...

“The Tonight Show” made its return to New York City with a splashy opening sequence showcasing Grand Central Terminal, the Chrysler Building, Lincoln Center and Jimmy Fallon’s glamorous new studio at Rockefeller Center—a fitting tribute to the place that helped foot the bill. An unconventional 30 percent tax credit aimed at luring “Tonight” away from California after four decades is reportedly saving NBC more than $20 million a year. …

“Ew!”Yes, Jimmy Fallon’s big “get” with Lady M was aired last night. The New York Daily News described it thusly: “Michelle Obama is hilarious, gorgeous alongside Jimmy Fallon and Will Ferrell on 'Tonight Show'” The WaPo said: They’ve already mom-danced and potato-sack-raced, so the logical step for Michelle Obama and Jimmy Fallon was to… squeal like teenage girls? Sure. Because how else do you make the FLOTUS accessible to the highly desirable 18- 34 demographic that we need to pitch Obamacare to? The skit was a guys-in-drag makeover of the old SNL classic Wayne’s World, except, not funny. Either...

On the "Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon, First Lady Michelle Obama explained that it was more important than ever for young people older than 26 to sign up for health insurance. "A lot of young people think they're invincible, but the truth is young people are knuckleheads," she laughed, pointing out that they often cut themselves while cooking or injure themselves by dancing on bar stools. Obama added that thanks to Obamacare, coverage for young people was much cheaper. "Now young people can get insurance for as little as $50 a month, less than the cost of gym shoes," she...

Jimmy Fallon proved Tuesday he wasn't a one-night wonder. The new "Tonight Show" host — oops, star — drew 7.4 million viewers for his second night, more than the combined total for his rivals, David Letterman on CBS and Jimmy Kimmel on ABC. Fallon still had, and will have all this week, the benefit of a lead-in from NBC's popular Olympics coverage.

“HERE’S A fascinating story,” the longtime host of NBC’s Tonight Show With Jay Leno told his audience last week, mentioning a recent Iowa Supreme Court ruling “that a dentist could legally fire his female assistant because he found her too sexy, too attractive, and a threat to his marriage. She didn’t do anything. She’s just good-looking.” The payoff: “Hey, I’ll bet that’s what happened to me here at NBC!”

Jay Leno has officially announced his retirement from NBC's "Tonight Show." As expected, "Late Night" host Jimmy Fallon will succeed Leno in the spring of 2014 when "Tonight" moves back to New York, to 30 Rock -- 42 years after Johnny Carson took the show to Burbank.
