Homeless sex offenders in Polk County would serve out probation in county jail after their release from prison, under a plan before state corrections officials. The proposal from the county comes after a long dispute over what to do with the area's homeless sex offenders who are out on parole, including a rejected offer by Yamhill County District Attorney John Fisher to house them in his residence.
