Yesterday I wondered if Democrat Rep. Jacki Speier of California had gone off the deep end by musing that the Taliban aren't really terrorists, but rather "part of the fabric of Afghanistan." It turns out she was basically mangling the new talking points from the Obama Administration, which is going all-in for the reinvention of the Taliban butchers as legitimate battlefield opponents. CNN reports on Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel's testimony before Congress today: Bergdahl was held by the Haqqani network, a Taliban wing designated a terrorist group in 2012. However, Hagel noted Bergdahl was a war captive, not a...

Jane Fonda compared Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler at the Women’s Media Awards on Thursday. “If you’ve read anything about the rise of the Third Reich and Adolf Hitler, you will see the parallels,” Fonda maintained. “Attacking the media is the first step in the move towards fascism.” Fonda, given her wild misjudgment of the only American to systematically murder scores of his fellow countrymen in an actual concentration camp, strikes as the wrong messenger bearing the wrong message here. Before Jane Fonda saw Donald Trump as Adolf Hitler, she saw Jim Jones as a hero. “We are familiar with...

One Democrat has become so concerned with Donald Trump's mental health that she has reached out to the psychologist behind a political group calling for the president to be removed from office. California Representative Jackie Speier, has contacted John Gartner, a former assistant professor at Johns Hopkins medical school and founder of Duty to Warn, her office confirmed to Newsweek Tuesday. A collection of mental health professionals, the political action committee has advocated for Trump’s removal under the 25th Amendment.

Senator Markey has announced his support for the Iran deal that will let the terrorist regime inspect its own Parchin nuclear weapons research site, conduct uranium enrichment, build advanced centrifuges, buy ballistic missiles, fund terrorism and have a near zero breakout time to a nuclear bomb. There was no surprise there. Markey had topped the list of candidates supported by the Iran Lobby. And the Iranian American Political Action Committee (IAPAC) had maxed out its contributions to his campaign. After more fake suspense, Al Franken, another IAPAC backed politician who also benefited from Iran Lobby money, came out for the...

The cash-strapped Democratic National Committee has decided to be clown itself further by suing Wikileaks, Russia, and the Trump campaign for collusion during the 2016 election. For a party thatÂ’s tired of the media talking about Hillary and 2016, this is a way to keep both issues front and center. ItÂ’s going to re-open the wounds between the left and far left of the Democratic Party, erecting another obstacle for unity as the party heads into the 2016 election. Is the DNC's Trump-Russia conspiracy lawsuit a "political stunt?"Now, if youÂ’re a Democrat, it keeps Russia in the news, as the...

Conservative Republicans are pushing to release a memo containing classified information about the federal investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 campaign, sparking new controversy in a case that has already caused deep partisan rifts. The contents of the four-page memo, which was written by staff working with Rep. Devin Nunes have not been publicly revealed. But President Trump’s allies in Congress say that they are explosive. Democrats on the committee have dismissed the memo as a dishonest attempt to undermine the Russia investigation, and Rep. Jackie Speier called it a “pack of lies.” Rep. Matt Gaetz said the information...

With a government shutdown looming, President Trump met with Republicans and Democrats about hashing out a deal on immigration, which seems to be the biggest obstacle and a top action item for both the White House and congressional leaders. As Michael Wolff has magnified rumors of Trump’s mental instability thanks to an error-ridden book, the president allowed the cameras to roll, as the commander-in-chief went around the room getting the views that different members of Congress have on this issue. He pressed both sides on their talking points, noting that a wall has to be part of the deal. We’ll...

Federal law enforcement agents working the Imran Awan and Hina Alvi fraud probe said the couple, along with other members of the family, were never properly vetted for Congressional security clearances. Instead the clearances, which provided the Awans access to dozens of Congressional Democrats computer networks and IT systems, were likely approved absent each individual background file getting “fully investigated.” “I seriously doubt they could have passed a full background (check),” one FBI insider said. “These clearances were pushed through.” FBI insiders used the word “forged” to describe the process of what happened to the Awan files. Federal law enforcement...

Rep. Jackie Speier, D-Calif., said she is worried that President Trump is attempting to "shut down" all vestiges of the federal government other than the presidency, effectively paving the way for a dictatorship. The congresswoman pointed to Trump's recent attacks against the Justice Department and FBI as evidence. "I am concerned that the president of the United States is systematically trying to shut down every possible branch of government but the Presidency,” Speier said.

Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-San Mateo) told KQED Newsroom on Friday that she believes Republicans are trying to shut down the House Intelligence Committee’s probe into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 elections. Speier also said, “The rumor on the Hill when I left yesterday was that the president was going to make a significant speech at the end of next week. And on Dec. 22nd, when we are out of D.C., he was going to fire Robert Mueller.” If this were to happen, Speier said, it would cause a constitutional crisis. “That is Saturday massacre 2.0,” she said. “Without a...

Republican lawmakers have been increasingly frustrated by revelations that one of the FBI agents who had a pivotal role in both the early stages of what became the Mueller investigation and the bureaus decision to excuse Hillary Clinton shared anti-Trump sentiments with his mistress, also an FBI employee. Earlier this week, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley fired off a letter to the DOJ asking Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein to explain this and other disturbing revelations indicating bias toward Trump from within both the DOJ and the Mueller probe specifically. To wit, nearly every Mueller team member donated to at...

How to explian a solid Russian connection prosecutor Robert Mueller "missed"? Course he is busy staging useless midnight raids into people's homes. Maybe it's b/c it involves Democrats, and a House intel security breach? Mueller seems to be studiously avoiding the shocking details as Awan IT security breach details pour into The DC Swamp. The case implicates dozens of Democrat members of Congress in abuse of office, conspicy to defraud the United States, govt fraud, graft, wire-fraud, espionage, treason, bank fraud, money laundering, tax evasion......and a theft ring run out of the House Democrat Caucus. AND..... (drum roll, please)...... it...

Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-N.Y.) tore into House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi for her comments on NBC's "Meet the Press" earlier this week, saying Pelosi "ceded the moral high ground," by praising Rep. John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.) amid sexual misconduct allegations. “I think that her comments on Sunday set women back and — quite frankly, our party back — decades,” Rice told reporters Wednesday, according to Politico. “I think that we ceded the moral high ground on Sunday when our leader said on ‘Meet the Press’ that John Conyers was an icon and we don’t even know who these women are,...

Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) informed NBC’s Chuck Todd on Tuesday that $15 million in taxpayer money had been paid out over the years to settle sexual harassment suits filed against members of Congress. Earlier in the day, Speier testified in front of the House Administration Committee that two members of Congress, a Republican and a Democrat, have engaged in sexual harassment in the past. Todd asked Speier about her allegations of sexual harassment and what she believes her responsibility is in going public with that information. “Well, it is my responsibility to address the seriousness of this issue. These survivors...

Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) told MSNBC’s Chuck Todd on Meet the Press Daily on Tuesday that the U.S. House of Representatives has paid $15 million to alleged victims of sexual harassment by its own members in recent years. “We do know there is about $15 million that has been paid out by the House on behalf of harassers in the last ten to 15 years,” she said. “15 million dollars has been paid out over sexual harassment claims,” Todd replied, somewhat shocked. “So, obviously more than one member of Congress.” Pressed for details, Speier said she did not know how...

A California Democratic congresswoman is reaching out to various psychologists to figure out whether President Donald Trump is mentally insane. Rep. Jackie Speier, member of the House Intelligence Committee, contacted two mental health professionals to ask them for their opinions on Trump’s mental health . . . “POTUS is showing signs of erratic behavior and mental instability that place the country in grave danger. Time to invoke the 25th amendment,” she tweeted in August.

Donald Trump would resign before Congress is able impeach him, a senior US representative has said, as pressure mounts over his team's alleged links to Russia. Jackie Speier, who sits on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, said attempts by the President to pardon members of his family or fire the man appointed to investigate Russian meddling in last year’s presidential election could trigger an impeachment vote. “I have always thought that he was never going to fulfil his full term,” she said. “I am more convinced that he will leave before any impeachment would take place.”

(Feb 8, 2017) Last year, eight members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence issued a demand that their staffers be granted access to top secret classified information. The signatories to the letter were Andre Carson, Luis Guiterez, Jim Himes, Terri Sewell, Jackie Speier, Mike Quigley, Eric Swalwell and Patrick Murphy. All the signatories were Democrats. Some had a history of attempting to undermine national security. Two of them have been linked to an emerging security breach. The office of Andre Carson, the second Muslim in Congress, had employed Imran Awan. As did the offices of Jackie Speier and Debbie Wasserman...

Over the past few months, the story of the Awan brothers has been largely ignored by mainstream media. However, the brothers Abid, Imran, and Jamal Awan are at the center of a criminal investigation by U.S. Capital Hill Police. The Awan brothers were Pakistani IT specialists, whom worked for more than 30 house and senate democrats, as well as Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz. The substantial scandal has raised questions about who may have been passed data which the Awans had access to, given Pakistan’s history of collaborating with a number of foreign countries who have demonstrated past willingness to influence...
