The left-wing New York Times is warning Democrats that “joy” is not a political strategy that will put Vice President Kamala Harris (D) in the White House.
Following the Democratic National Convention (DNC), Patrick Healy wrote in his opinion piece that the convention’s message for the nation, if it were to be placed on a bumper sticker, would say “HARRIS IS JOY.”
Healy continued:
Don’t get me wrong — there are many worse things than joy — but I cringed a little in the convention hall Tuesday night when Bill Clinton said Harris would be “the president of joy.” Joy is the new “fetch” from “Mean Girls” — Democrats are bent on making the word happen.
But joy is not a political strategy. And God is not a political strategy. The good news for Democrats is that Harris seems to understand this. Americans want her to lower their household costs and make it easier to find housing. Being our joyful Momala is not going to win the election.

“Joy” is an effective emotional appeal in advertising, but an advertisement must be paired with a product.
…Especially because Kamala isn’t “joyous”, she’s a giggling idiot.
The only late votes the Democrats can’t find will be for Kamala. So unlikeable.
But joy is not a political strategy. And God is not a political strategy.
Neither is running your campaign on killing the unborn at will or giving millions of illegals citizenship considering what’s happening in the country- but lets hope she continues down that path....

“Hope and change” was effective, I believe, because it linked the goal (hope) to a process (change) that could make it attainable.

The crap of JOY is the same as HOPE and CHANGE.
it was effective because we were in the middle of a housing meltdown as well as a massive financial crisis and a situation in Iraq which was not improving...
it was also effective because the media carried the message- as they are doing now...

It works on the true believers, the kind of people who were posting “I’m with her” memes within hours of Biden’s announcement. She is female and not white and she’ll give you “free” stuff and make sure you get your abortion. We’ll be making “herstory”. Oh, and she isn’t Trump. What’s not to be joyous about? The fact that she is likely to be even worse and malignant than the disasterous Biden has never dawned on them.
It’s not just Cackles. Government-based crime seems to run in her family.
Her sister’s husband is the one who engineered the Pigford and other billion-dollar scams!
Joy won’t win it for the Democrats, but cheating does.
The Nazis had a slogan, “Kraft der Freude”, meaning Strength through Joy. How’d that work out for the Germans?
It was never about “hope” and “change”. It was about: He’s the magic neeeeeegro! So vote for him or you’re a racist.
That worked with a bit of ballot fraud from ACORN.
