CNN recently published an article quoting five “experts” who explain the flaws in “5 common arguments” people make “for reopening the economy.” The first argument the experts say people are making that is flawed is to “keep the elderly at home, but let young or healthy people go back to work.” But this is misleading, as people actually think that it’s better to keep all “vulnerable” people and not merely the elderly at home for their safety, claims Daily Wire senior editor Ashe Schow.

Attorneys representing three high school girls in a lawsuit aimed at barring transgender female athletes from competing in women’s divisions have filed a motion calling on the presiding judge to recuse himself after he forbid the attorneys from referring the transgender athletes as “males.” The lawsuit was filed by nonprofit Alliance Defending Freedom in February on behalf of the families of three female high school track athletes who say their transgender competitors are enjoying an unfair advantage. The lawsuit challenges the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference policy that allows students who identify as female to participate in women’s sports and argues...

The Wall Street Journal's editorial board is asking why former President Obama commented on the Justice Department's decision to drop the case against former national security adviser Michael Flynn, asking "what he's really worried about." "Barack Obama is a lawyer, so it was stunning to read that he ventured into the Michael Flynn case in a way that misstated the supposed crime and ignored the history of his own Administration in targeting Mr. Flynn," the editorial board wrote. "Since the former President chose to offer his legal views when he didn’t need to, we wonder what he’s really worried about."

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker defended Sunday his cautious economic reopening plan, which leaves schools and many businesses shuttered until the novel coronavirus is all but defeated, saying the state will be unable to return to normal “until we’re able to eradicate it.” “The truth is coronavirus is still out there. It hasn’t gone anywhere,” Mr. Pritzker said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “So we all are going to have to change the way we do things until we’re able to eradicate it.”

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) suggested that “white privilege” played a role in the Justice Department’s (DOJ) decision to drop the criminal case of former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. The DOJ announced Thursday it was dropping the case after the emergence of information over the past few weeks that indicated foul play by the FBI to get Flynn to lie during a January 2017 interview as part of then Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Trump-Russia probe.

Across California on May 1, tens of thousands protested in defiance of statewide lockdown orders. In Sacramento, the west lawn of the state capitol building was filled with protesters, with thousands more marching along the sidewalk surrounding the capitol grounds. Additional thousands driving their cars and honking their horns created three hours of total gridlock on the streets that loop around the capitol. Noteworthy protests have taken place in San Diego, Encinitas, Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach, Paso Robles, Santa Rosa, and even tiny Lakeport on the shores of Clear Lake. There is no end in sight.

Linda Hirshman, the author of a book called “Reckoning: The Epic Battle Against Sexual Abuse and Harassment,” argued in an op-ed for the New York Times that defeating President Trump is a priority that trumps the sexual assault allegations against Joe Biden. The allegations: Tara Reade, who worked as a staffer in Biden’s Senate office in 1993, says that Biden kissed her and penetrated her with his finger without her consent during an encounter on Capitol Hill. Her brother, some of her friends, a former neighbor, and a staffer from another office, all confirmed that Reade had told them about...

It's almost as if he likes it like this. California's Gov. Gavin Newsom vows to make the coronavirus emergency measures in California its "new normal" unless --- and it's a big if --- a vaccine for the virus is ready.

Michelle Obama admits in the new Netflix documentary Becoming that having children was a 'concession' that cost her her 'aspirations and dreams' after she rose to become Barack's equal. The documentary was released on Netflix on Wednesday and sees the former first lady narrate parts of her life from when she was a child to meeting Barack, their time in the White House and what she now hopes to do with her time. Among the revelations she makes is that when she met her husband, she felt she had to rise to become his 'equal'. 'My relationship with Barack was...

On Tuesday, Texas may have created the anti-lockdown movement’s first martyr when a Dallas judge sentenced hairstylist Shelley Luther to a week in prison for the crime of trying to provide for her own and her employee’s families. Texas is home to 28,995,881 people. It’s had 32,879 diagnosed Wuhan virus cases (that is, 0.11% of the population got diagnosed) and 890 virus deaths (0.003% of the population). Most of the cases are linked to nursing homes or people with co-morbidities. Even in nursing homes, though, things needn't be so dire. One doctor’s experiment shows that early intervention with the hydroxychloroquine...

British epidemiologist Neil Ferguson, who helped create the U.K.’s coronavirus lockdown strategy, resigned from his position at the government on Tuesday after violating social distancing guidelines. The story: Ferguson reportedly had visits at his home from his married lover during the lockdown, despite repeatedly advising the public about the importance of social distancing. Ferguson has frequently appeared on TV where he supported the lockdown and praised the “very intensive social distancing” measures. Ferguson’s lover, Antonia Staats, made at least two visits to his home in London since the lockdown measures were imposed, on 30 March and 8 April, the Telegraph...

Prominent feminist attorney Lisa Bloom, who is also the daughter of Gloria Allred, took to Twitter on Friday to insist that she believes former Vice President Joe Biden sexually assaulted Tara Reade but that she would vote for him anyway. Reade came forward on March 25 to claim that while she worked as a staffer for Biden’s senate office in 1993, he pinned her against the wall, groped her, and put his hands under her skirt to penetrate her with his fingers. Unlike the dubious allegations against now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, left-leaning media outlets refused to cover Reade’s allegations...

A Harvard study, which linked pollution to coronavirus deaths and made headlines in prominent publications, has revised its numbers, prompting calls for an EPA investigation. The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health study, published on April 4, initially claimed that the numbers of coronavirus-related deaths might end up 15% higher in air polluted areas. The Harvard researchers corrected their estimates later that month, cutting the percentage by almost half. They now say pollution would lead to an 8% increase in coronavirus deaths in places with a higher level of air pollution. The study still hasn’t been peer-reviewed.

Project Veritas has a new video out, focusing on funeral directors who are blowing the whistle on the alleged padding of Wuhan coronavirus death totals. The Project Veritas folks spoke with funeral directors out of New York who believed that the deaths were being attributed to the virus whether they were due to the virus or not. The tape reveals a completely haphazard approach, as James O’Keefe observes, marking down people as having the virus whether they had it or not. If people died at home people would rather put “COVID” rather than have to go into the home if...

Since April 7, authorities in California have released seven sex offenders with histories of violent crimes, including violating their paroles and indecent behavior, back into the public due to coronavirus concerns. The United States has released video that shows coalition forces successfully hammering an Islamic State cave complex in Iraq with airstrikes. The attack happened on Wednesday in Iraq’s Hamrin Mountains, an area that is a known refuge for ISIS fighters who use the cave systems to hide out, plan attacks, and smuggle weapons. The airstrikes hit 10 caves and were done in coordination with Iraqi forces, according to a Thursday press release from Combined Joint Task Force — Operation Inherent Resolve. It is estimated that between five to 10 ISIS fighters were killed in the airstrikes, though that figure could...

Despite predictions that Wisconsin would see a rise in coronavirus cases due to state and local leadership’s decision to move forward with in-person voting earlier this months, experts have found no evidence that the election contributed to the official count. The story: According to the latest count by state health officials tracking the impact of holding the election, around two dozen people contracted the virus on election day, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Wednesday. However, it is unclear how many, if any, of those people were infected at the polls. “With the data we have, we can’t prove an association....
