U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) has identified 238 fraudulent cases of individuals claiming to be related in order to secure entry into the United States. Illegal aliens from Central and South America have been exploiting children to take advantage of loopholes in U.S. immigration policy. A 40-year-old woman from Honduras died in the custody of the U.S. government, the second such death in a 36-hour period, officials said. The woman was apprehended by Border Patrol agents early Monday after illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Police in California have arrested an illegal immigrant with known gang ties and an extensive criminal history in the February killing of a San Jose woman. Carlos Eduardo Arevalo Carranza, 24, was arrested Monday night in connection with the murder of 59-year-old Bambi Larson; police say he stalked her before stabbing her to death. Thousands of Central American caravan riders on Friday refused Mexico's offer of providing asylum status to those immigrants who applied and qualified.
