South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg is being slammed — and also defended — after a 2017 Instagram post of him at a Holocaust memorial in Berlin, with the caption “This guy,” resurfaced Sunday on Twitter. The Democratic presidential candidate’s husband, Chasten Buttigieg, posted the photo of Buttigieg at what appeared to be the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, in Germany’s capital. Users on Twitter called the photo and caption “tone-deaf,” “inappropriate, “tasteless” and “disrespectful.” […] Buttigieg’s campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment. …

One of the nation’s largest gay advocacy organizations is greeting Chick-Fil-A’s divestment from Christian charities like the Salvation Army with tepid praise and further demands, including an “unequivocal” denunciation of the brand’s history and values. GLAAD (whose name is an acronym for its former title, “Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation”) demanded “safe workplaces for LGBTQ employees” and an apparent denunciation of the Christian ministry Focus on the Family, responding to Chick-Fil-A’s decision to stop donating to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program for needy children and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which serves historically black colleges and universities (HCBUs)....

And now that he has surged to the top of the polls in Iowa, it may be time to start taking his unlikely campaign seriously — and asking what exactly it is about the mild-mannered mayor of South Bend, Ind., that has endeared...

November 15, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – While more mainstream abortion defenders try to frame abortion as a tragic necessity and insist nobody who “needs” the practice view it lightly, less PR-concerned activists often complicate the message by openly celebrating abortion, such as with a series of “Thank God for Abortion” photos that went viral this month. ThankGodForAbortion.com sells shirts bearing the titular message, for the stated purpose of “inhabiting a joyful and authentic place in regards to our own experience with abortion,” which they hope will “eliminate the criminalizing stigma around abortion one t-shirt at a time.” The group’s Instagram page...

It finds its reason for being in the dialogue of God with humanity.” Recalling a scene from the 11th-century poem, “The Song of Roland,” in which Christians threatened Muslims “to choose between baptism or death,” the pope denounced the fundamentalist mentality which “we cannot accept nor understand and...
