Chick-fil-A denies capitulating to LGBT activists; Christian groups won't be excluded from donations

Amid reports that fast food chain Chick-fil-A was halting donations to Christian groups, the restaurant's foundation is maintaining they are philanthropically restructuring, not caving to political correctness in pursuit of higher profits.

Reports emerged Monday that after months of consistently negative press coverage related to their long-held views about marriage and human sexuality and donations to like-minded organizations, that the famous chicken sandwich shop was discontinuing their financial contributions to groups characterized as "anti-LGBT."

The Christian Post reached out to Chick-fil-A Monday, asking them to respond to the criticisms that they were compromising their principles in order to appease their ideological opponents.

Chick-Fil-A made a wise decision. Research the big “charities”. Many of the best sounding names, the ones everyone assumes are helping those in need, just aren’t.

I saw at least one thread where Freepers were tossing Chik-fil-A under the bus, assuming the "news" they weren't giving to some long standing great charities was in fact real.

If I've learned anything during my two decades here on FR it's this: a lie gets half-way around the world before the truth gets its pants on.

I'm occasionally guilty myself of knee-jerk reacting to what appears to be bad news for our side of the culture wars - in this case the initial story (lie) turned out to not be true and I'm glad I waited to react.

The Chik-fil-A story was a distraction designed to derail the focus from Adam Schiffhead and the FARCE the Democrats are perpetuating on the American public.

Let us all (including myself here....) not be distracted.

We simply must keep the focus on the lying Democrats and the coup they're trying to pull.

Chik Fil A are frauds. When asked if they have capitulated to the LBGQT agenda, Chik Fil A gave a complete non answer. I would ask anyone supporting them and their mediocre food, if you were asked if the same question, would your answer look like theirs, or would you be very clear about where you stand on the issue? Chik Fil A didn't go near the topic because they are frauds. And why wouldn't they specifically mention the Salvation Army and Fellowship of Christian athletes and tell us why, specifically, they will cut them off now. I mentor a senior in high school who leads FCA and has for years. They are on the front line between perversion and today's youth. And Chik Fil A just caved and deserted. Don't buy their weak words. They are frauds. Christ said you will serve one of two masters, Him or money. Chik Fil A has made their choice. Their food was never truly special any way so by all means they should no longer be patronized by anyone looking to make a stand for in the war for our youth and culture.

I wont go out of my way for chick-fil-a anymore. I prefer my meals without politics. Lately, Bojangles has been getting my chicken dollars any away. Chik-fil-a had a good thing going, they sold even more chicken when they were boycotted by the lgbtxyz community, you knew the freaks weren’t going there. Now, they’ve caved to the freaks. enjoy your new overlords and lost sales cfa.

Boy does this one present a tough choice.

I don't really like their food, but I eat there 10 or 12 times a year just to support their values. If they've let the mentally ill people push them into surrendering their values, then I won't eat there anymore. Of course that means the nut-cases have won another one.

I'd actually prefer to keep symbolically eating there rather than have the wacko squad force another solid Christian organization to surrender.
